Since the Spurs have the series against the Suns [IMG] Who would you rather have the Spurs play against.

HEAT, just because they are easier to shut down rather than the Pistons who can beat you in almost every postion.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves now sure there up 3-1, but that doesn't mean the Suns can't come back so don't count them out just yet, however, I think the Heat also just because they had problems against the West earlier in the season and Spurs are more then likely to shut them down then the Pistons.

Match-ups wise the Heat would be a far better match-up for the Spurs. Heat have two main guys and they hope for role players to step up and hit open shots. That might not work that well with the Spurs as they rotate out so well to the shooters and we all know Bowen will get Wade some problems. The Pistons would be tougher because of the defense and the way Rasheed Wallace has defended Tim Duncan over the years. The Pistons wouldn't double down. Chauncey Billups will make life tough for Parker, due to his size and strength. Two things that TP has struggled with all year and throughout his career. Manu won't have It easy against a much longer Tayshaun Prince. So overall the Pistons would give the Spurs a tougher test on paper match-up wise.

The way things are going, the Pistons have their backs against the wall. If Wade is out Pistons should win tonight but I bet you he plays, he's young and resilient. If the Heat win and they don't have Wade for and extended period of time, the Spurs should have no problems at all. But!!!!

Right now Wade and Shaq are not exactly 100%, which could leave the door wide open for the Spurs. But both players are capable of still pointing up big performances also with some pretty good role players.

But AllNet brought up some good points. The Pistons players have many more advantages that SA does not. Quickness, size, and better defense. Just a better team, and you never want to go down against the better team, especially in the Finals. So I`d pick Miami as my opponent.

i want to see the pistons for a few reasons. first, they are the defending champs. the last time the previous two champs played for a title was in 1987, lakers (85) vs celtics (86). second, i think the pistons are a better team than miami, although that isn't really apparent right now. third, i think with shaq and wade not doing so well, the pistons are a better matchup.
