There are rumors that the Grizzlies want to trade Jayson Williams, and the 19th overall selection. So why don't we trade our last two picks we have, and our 27th pick for Jay-Will since we have a experienced point guard.

The rumors also say the Grizzlies are willing to trade that pick for 2 second round picks. Why don't we trade the 34th and 60th, or just all 3 second rounders for the 19th overall pick.

Jason Williams would be interesting but in the end, a bad choice for the Jazz. Because Utah and Memphis are over the cap, both teams would have to trade some salary for him which shouldn't be a problem - probably Giricek would work. But Williams could cause problems in the Jazz lockerroom and although he listened to Hubie, has had problems with most of his coaches. Sloan, who's on the stricter side, may not want to put up with that act. Further, Williams is past his prime and I think that there are equal or better options on the FA market.

Williams will not function well under Sloan, Hubie was soft with Jason, he counceled him and acted like the father-figure that Jay needed in his life. Sloan likes to scream at his players, he demands the best out of them, and if they don't perform to what he wants, they ride the pine. Jason fitted into Hubie's program because Hubie let Jason run the team, Sloan runs the Jazz.

Plus, it's not like every player wants to play in Utah.
Also, not everyone wants to trade with us, everyone wants to try their luck at the draft, Portland just might though, they don't need Chris Paul, they have SebastianTelfair and Damon Stoudamire.

If Jason Williams was traded to Utah, he could have some problems with Jerry Sloan. Carlos Arroyo had some problems with Sloan, he then struggled to get off the bench and was soon traded.
