<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Auburn Hills, Mich. ? While Heat guard Dwyane Wade continues to soar to stardom in the playoffs, Darko Milicic remains firmly planted on Detroit's bench.

Wade, drafted No. 5 overall in the 2003 draft, is among the many lottery picks who are more accomplished than Milicic, the No. 2 pick.

Milicic only plays when the games are blowouts, entering to rousing applause from fans at The Palace.

To the critics who point out that Milicic has barely gotten of the bench since being drafted, team President Joe Dumars has an answer.

"We won a championship," Dumars said. "That's my response."</div>

I wonder what this team would be like if they would've taken the good pick in Carmelo.

I wonder why people still can't understand that Tayshaun Prince is the Pistons future at small forward and drafting Melo would of basically meant no Sheed.

Well before draft day came, there was a prediction that they would draft Melo instead of Darko. Later on, the prediction was that they'd go with Darko. I think I would have drafted Melo and use him right away. Darko..I don't know if he's ready or not, I seen him getting blocked by rim on dunk attempt.

Would you take Melo over Rasheed Wallace? put It this way, If the Pistons drafted Melo then they would not of had the pieces to make the Hawks the offer they made for Sheed. Pistons won a championship last year, which at the end of the day is every team's goal. Darko could be a good player down the line, he was always going to be a 3 or 4 year project.

whatever the lineup and "future" 3 for the pistons.... I just feel bad for Darko that he doesnt even manage 10 min/gm. It's obvious that the fans wanna see him play and from what i've seen in garbage minutes.... he's got some skills. I'd love for the Sonics to get him out of there!

<u>We won a championship," Dumars said. "That's my response." </u>

What does that have to do with him sitting on the bench?? Is he sayin that it's better that he sits or else they wouldnt win?? OR.... is he implying that it doesnt matter becuause at the end of the day... Darko has a ring!... Yea well so does Matt Bullard!

umm if they drafted someone else they prob. wouldnt of won the ring. the picks after darko

carmelo anthony-he would of player right away and prince would of either played pf or came off the bench as 6th man and we all no who great of a defensive player prince is.

chris bosh-if they would of drafted him he would of played right away too. if they got him they prob. wouldnt of won the title cause the main reason they won was because both wallaces dominated the paint and bosh isnt that big to do it defesivly.

dwayne wade-great player but again prince or hamilton would of prob. lost minutes and a starting job

and if they drafted all the players than they would of never gotten sheed. so drafting darko was a good thing if you look at it. it mite of not been good for him but it was good for the team
