<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">CLEVELAND ? New Cavaliers head coach Mike Brown apparently already has the most important person in the organization in his corner. Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert said he spoke briefly with superstar LeBron James on Wednesday and the 20-year-old supported the hiring of Brown, which was announced Thursday at Gund Arena. James had already spoken to Indiana power forward Jermaine O'Neal, who gave him a highly favorable report on Brown, who spent the last two seasons as an assistant with the Pacers. "LeBron was not part of the (hiring) process," Gilbert said. "As clearly the centerpiece of this team, we asked him what he thought and he endorsed it." Brown said he had also spoken to James, who invited the coach and his family to a planned trip to an amusement park. The new coach told James he couldn't go on rides that went in circles, while Gilbert made a crack about last season being a "roller coaster." For now, at least, the Cavaliers are acting like they are on a great big merry-go-round. "You have LeBron James. You have an exciting city like Cleveland. You have terrific owners that are committed and have similar philosophies to what I have," Brown said. "With those things in mind, this is a great opportunity for me to take my first head coaching job."</div> Source
