It almost seemed like a no-brainer trading for him since it was only for Moochie Norris and Vin Baker. Taylor gave the Knicks instant offense off the bench and a dependable, reliable and consistent low post threat that required double teams. He seems like a decent player and I can?t figure out why so many Rocket fans didn?t like him. Taylor isn?t the best rebounder in the world, but he definitely isn?t an absolutely terrible one like some people suggested and with great rebounders like Kurt Thomas and Mike Sweetney snatching all of the rebounds, I?m sure that decreases his rebounding stats a bit. He?s so strong and athletic he could stand to be a better rebounder, but that isn?t a main concern for the Knicks right now. His range has been good for the Knicks as well. Taylor can hit jumpers in 3-point territory and when open he can definitely connect. His midrange game is good especially for a big man which helps him even better in the low post. Hopefully he can teach Sweetney a few tricks down there. It?s allowed Crawford, Marbury, and Tim Thomas to be more efficient on offense. Sometimes he?s so confident he?s a bit reluctant to give up the ball, but I think that will change once Herb points it out to him. Although Taylor is far from flawless, overall he?s been pretty good for the Knicks. I like what brings to the table off the bench and if he continues his play, don?t be surprised to hear his name out there in the 6th man of the year voting next year!
