<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> decision should come within the next week to 10 days on Ike Diogu's future. The Sun Devils star has worked out for Denver, Memphis and Golden State and will work out for the Suns.

He also will go to Chicago for the pre-draft camp but is not expected to play in the games. He will just get measured and go through the meetings. Because the games are guard dominated it may not make sense for a big man like Ike to play.

Early indications are the Suns like Louisville's Francisco Garcia, Providence's Ryan Gomes and Florida's David Lee among the players that have worked out for them. Garcia would seem to be the best fit at pick number 21 .</div>

NBAdraft.net apparently has a rumor that Phoenix made a guarantee to Ike. No clue if this is true, although it's not totally unforeseen since if Ike stays in the draft, he was touted as a mid/late first round draft pick at the least. Both being in Arizona, the Suns should at least know what they're getting.

I like Garcia as well, he's one of the best shooting guard prospects available, kind of like a Joe-Johnson-lite - he's got skills and smarts, but JJ has at least 60 pounds on him.

I doubt Diogu will fall to you guys. If he does though, you guys will be lucky. A while ago he was the big thing on the Warriors board. Kind of like a smaller Shawn Marion.

    ?

How in the world is Diogu anything remotely similar to Shawn marion? statisticly? Diogu is a great post-up player while Marion is much more comfortable on the perimeter and isn't a real PF. Their bodies aren't similar either, Marion is 6'7 225 and Diogu is 6'8 255. Marion is quite explosive but nbadraft.net says when describing Diogu "You will never see the word "explosive" when reading a Diogu scouting report" source. So where is the similarity?

Both are undersized 4's, but Diogu is more of a Elton Brand type that Shawn Marion. I don't see any similarities between Ike and Shawn as well.

That is the only similarity and Marion isn't even a true 4, he is more comfortable as a 3.
