TSN.ca made their own draft! surprising, for once they actually gave a damn for bball, and not hockey. dont get me wrong, i love hockey but im a bball fan for life. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">1. Milwaukee Bucks - Andrew Bogut, PF , Utah (7'0", 242 lbs.) Despite their poor record in 2004-05, the Bucks should be just a healthy T.J. Ford and re-signed Michael Redd away from respectability. Andrew Bogut is coming off a great season at Utah and should be able to step right in and contribute at centre. 2. Atlanta Hawks - Chris Paul, PG, Wake Forest (6'0", 175 lbs.) Chris Paul is one of the more highly touted point guard prospects in years - seemingly able to do everything, but his size is his one area of concern. A team with glaring needs at centre and point guard, GM Billy Knight picks the best available player at one of those positions. They will likely use free agency to try and add a centre. 3. Portland Trail Blazers - Marvin Williams, SF, North Carolina (6'9", 230 lbs.) Portland's most glaring need is shooting guard, but there isn't one worth picking this high in the draft that can help them next year. Marvin Williams may have the most pro potential of any player in the draft and could be too much for the Blazers to pass up. 4. New Orleans Hornets - Gerald Green, SG/SF, Texas HS (6'8", 200 lbs.) Like any athletic high school wing man, Gerald Green's game gets compared to Tracy McGrady's. While that is a gross overstatement at this point, he is a high flyer that boasts star potential - an area where the Hornets are sorely lacking. 5. Charlotte Bobcats - Deron Williams, PG, Illinois (6'3", 210 lbs.) Though Brevin Knight did a solid job last year, the Bobcats would like a long-term solution at the point and Deron Williams is the best one left on the board. Williams is a big, strong point guard that plays great defence and should be able to contribute right away. </div> LinkLink It is an alright draft. but we cant pick a big guy with our 7th pick, it'll totally be negative to aruajo and his progress/confidence. we should go for a guy like granger a SF who would slowly take the role of jalen rose, a gradual progression of leadership would dethrone rose, and make chris and Mo along with Danny the guys of the team. what do u all think.
As a Warrior fan I would much rather have about 5 people after who they had us picking instead of Charlie Vill...
I dont see felton making it past the top 6 and if he does i dont think that the raptors will pass him up....so...tsn did a pretty bad job...
I wouldn't expect a Canadian sports network to have any sort of validity when it comes basketball related information. They quite simply made a mockery of a mock draft. Fran Vasquez to Utah at #6? Chris Taft to the Raptors at #7? Quite simply I do not look to any Canadian sources (other than my fellow JBB Raptor fans) for information that remotely has to do with basketball. Whoever did that mock at TSN should get fired. Ugh.
I really wouldn't want Chris Taft... He has been said to have bad work ethic and we don't need a poor man's Kwame Brown or a guy who turns out like Dampier who plays horribly until the contract year and signs with another team...
ya thats a pretty bad mock in my opinion. I dont see alot of it happening, though i wouldnt be to surprised to see Paul go ahead of Marvin. They dont need Marvin and they do need Paul...sure Paul has less upside than Williams, but how long can one team rebuild for. Draft Paul, sign a decent big man and make a run at the playoffs. BECOME RESPECTABLE AGAIN HAWKS!
This doesn't look like TSN put a lot of thought into this--not that I would expect them to. I really don't like how they have Toronto picking up Taft as our #7 and I don't like how Salim is the 26th pick for the Pistons. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting CourtVision:</div><div class="quote_post">They quite simply made a mockery of a mock draft.</div> Well said.
lol I know man TSN is pure canuck..hockey and curling. im upset with the draft. i want gerald green! lol.
That wasn't a very good mock draft. It wasn't quite as horrible as TheScore's though: http://forecaster.ca/thescore/basketball/e...draft-mockdraft <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> 7 RAPTORS: Martynas Andriuskevicius, C, Zalgiris Kaunas (Lithuania, Euroleague) Note to readers: This pick is based on what the Raptors would do in a logical universe. The past year of course has been quite the opposite for Toronto, as neophyte GM Rob 'What Me Worry?' Babcock continues to bumble through the NBA. Andriuskevicius is probably the best center prospect available, and while he won't be ready for years he'll eventually be a good one. Then again, maybe the Raps will trade the pick and Chris Bosh to New Jersey for some swamp land. </div>
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Drake Remoray:</div><div class="quote_post">That wasn't a very good mock draft. It wasn't quite as horrible as TheScore's though: http://forecaster.ca/thescore/basketball/e...draft-mockdraft</div> And I thought that it couldn't get any worse from TSN's mock draft.
Well,, what do you expect from a broadcasting company that hired Glen Grunwald as their analyst? The mock was probably done by Grunwald.. I can just see the grudge he's holding against the Raptors brass and Babcock for taking his job.
lol i think this is all a big scam for babcock to take at least one of those 2 people...and then his excuse would be that he saw it on tsn or the score...
Both of them are horrendus, I mean TAFT? you have to be kidding, MARTYNAS? my god thats even worse than taft, he's just going to develop very very slowly, and by the time he gets any good (a very big IF) he'll just sign with another team. I hope those mock drafts are some kind of joke.
I had a good laugh with TSN's mock draft.. and an even BIGGER laugh with Score's mock draft... I think I could make a better mock draft without any sources whatsoever hahaha... what a joke!
