<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Detroit Pistons continued their penchant for pre-playoff partying Sunday night on South Beach. Pistons forwards Tayshaun Prince and Antonio McDyess were both spotted partying late into the night at Opium Monday morning, less than 20 hours before tipoff of Game 7 of the Miami-Detroit Eastern Conference Finals. Last Wednesday, the night before Game 5 in Miami, Chauncey Billups and Rasheed Wallace were partying on Miami Beach, including hanging out with Warren Sapp at JIMMY'Z.</div> Source Excellent decision making on the Pistons' players to stay out late and party before their most important game of the season.
Let's not blow it out of proportion. It doesn't really affect them that match, specially that they wake up around 10-11 am the shootaround starts at like 1 in the afternoon. It's nothing. Almost every player in the league does it. I have seen Iverson party at Vince's club before game 4 in the 2001 NBA Playoffs.

It's irresponsible and stupid to be out partying late like that the night before the biggest game of the season...
I doubt if Larry Brown ever would allow such a thing, but its up to him to make the final descisions. It`s almost halftime and the Pistons have gone on a decent run, so maybe the partying is starting to kick in or something lol.

However, looks like 'Sheed has indeed had 'friends' over last night. He looks lathargic outthere. EDIT: 'Sheed just shut me up with a huge bucket and a couple of free throws. Afterall, they were just 'friends'

UGH The Miami media made way too much to this. As stated below <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The stations tried to make a big deal out of it, but the three Pistons involved -- Chauncey Billups, Prince and Antonio McDyess -- don't drink alcohol. The reporter, Jill Martin of Channel 6, said in her report that the three Pistons weren't partying or carousing. They were just relaxing. "Antonio was mad," Prince said. "He doesn't ever go out, ever. The one time he does, the cameras are there." </div> Link
Seriously guys, your not their moms, so dont act like it. These are grown men, they want to go out and have fun during the season and especially the play-offs. Mabe they shouldn't really be drinking alcohol, but I assure you that plenty of players do. I also assure you the plenty also go out and party during the season. They have a right to, and it would be hard not to over such a long, stressful season. But if you want to take on the Mom perspective, I suggest worrying about players who get away with smoking weed above the players who go out and have drinks.
They already said they werent drinking alcohol. I dont think these guys are dumb enough to go get hammered before a conference finals game.
