<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Bickerstaff doesn't want to package picks 5 and 13 to move up in the draft. But he suggested another option: creating a package with the future first-round pick the Toronto Raptors owe the Bobcats.

Among teams picking before the Bobcats, the Portland Trail Blazers seem the most receptive to trading down. The Blazers figure to have their pick of point guards at No. 3, but they're committed to Sebastian Telfair at that position. They might trade down to choose one of two high school players, Gerald Green or Martell Webster.

Putting on his best poker face, Bickerstaff warned the Blazers not to work a deal with a team drafting behind Charlotte.

"I don't think that's wise," he said, "because the guy they want won't get past us."

? The Bobcats worked out three other players: forwards Hakim Warrick from Syracuse, Chris Taft from Pittsburgh and high school center Andray Blatche. Taft couldn't finish because of a sore right knee. He said he injured it in a workout for Boston.

? Bickerstaff said Warrick shot better than he anticipated. Based on the teams working him out, Warrick will go somewhere in the first 15 picks.

? Players with Carolinas ties at this week's Chicago pre-draft camp: Eddie Basden, Charlotte 49ers; Sharrod Ford, Clemson; Jackie Manuel, North Carolina; Carlos Powell, South Carolina; Brandon Rush, Durham Mount Zion Academy; Eric Williams, Wake Forest; Jawad Williams, North Carolina.

N.C. State's Julius Hodge was quoted on scout.com as indicating he turned down an invitation to play in the Chicago games.</div>
