I'm glad Mike Bibby is stepping up and saying something like that. He is showing that he wants it all. He wants the team. And I think the Kings are going to give it to him.
yea but u got to understand Peja scores more then him and i think that the real leader here is peja but i dont think bibby is not a leader because he is great and i think him and peja are the 2 leaders because they are like the only 2 guys left since christie and webber got traded and vlade went to the lakers! stojakovic and bibby know more then anyone on this team about the kings and they know what they need to do to get the kings into the finals
The leader doesn't have to be the best player on the team. Bibby has shown himself to be the leader of the team, time and time again. He gets at people when they make mistakes, he takes blame for mistakes, he gets vocal and gets the team to perform better. He is also the floor leader as the point guard and directs the offense. Peja, however, is a scorer/shooter and hasn't had to lead before. He's always had Vlade or Webber and now Bibby, who led the team. He doesn't will his team to victories like Bibby has done in the past. He is more a follower if you watch his demeanor, where Bibby has a more active role.

Bibbys definitely the leader of the kings. And its good to see him step up and take the leadership role.

ok i cant argue with that but think bout last years playoffs against the wolves peja was the one who made those 2 three's to force it into overtime i didnt see bibby doing **** last year he sucked but this year he has gotten better but all im saying is that if peja was up for the leadership role he would make a better leader
Bibby is definetely the leader. He's the PG. The main role of the PG is to lead the team. He calls the play and directs the team. Bibby isnt a better player than Peja but he has come up huge for them. 2000 playoffs for the Kings i believe. The Pic and roll with Cwebb. He drops the jumper. He's the go to guy for the kings. Therefore he's their leader.
