Williams is attempting to return to the NBA after suffering such severe injuries in a June 2003 motorcycle accident that doctors considering amputating his left leg.

"All the stuff we've been talking about is coming true," said Kevin Bradbury, Williams' business manager. "He can cut, run backward and his lateral movement is good. He just needs to continue strengthening his leg to get all his speed back. But he's close."</div>

This is great news! I am really happy for him not only because he was a former Bull, but he was from a local high school by me. He is a great player, and I am glad that he is making improvements. Now hopefully a team will take a shot on him, since I dont think he will be re-signing with the Bulls.

Hopefully he returns soon. He seems to have been rehabilitating forever I heard rumors he was close to returning last season, and he would probably make a come back mid way through the season, but it never happened. This guy had all the potential in the world when he came in the league he had his rough moments during his rookie season, but was still all rookie second team, and was going to be a big part of the Bulls future. To bad he made one bad choice that cost him two years of his pro career (and counting).

He has been a inspiration however to many people. He has openned up a Jason Williams basketball camp for young basketball players, and has remained close to the game despite the injury. He made a mistake, but unlike many people who do he owned up to it, and showed he had character. I think he l have no problem finding a team to sign with when he desides he is ready to return.
