<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Bulls coach Scott Skiles agreed to a contract extension with the team Tuesday, one day after he said he had ended negotiations for a deal. General manager John Paxson would not disclose the terms of the contract, but Skiles told reporters it was for four years. Skiles had ended negotiations for a contract extension a month after leading the team to its first playoff appearance in seven years, and it was unclear as early as Tuesday afternoon whether he would stay with the team. In the Bulls' second season under Skiles, they improved from 19-47 to 47-35 before losing to Washington in the first round of the playoffs.</div> http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines
Great to see both sides work it out. Now the Bulls can get to work on bringing back their key free agents.
he was getting a little too demanding with what he wanted but its good to see him back in Chicago...he gave that team an identity and is a very good coach...the Bulls need to re-sign their key guys and sign some other pieces and then they'll be serious contenders in the East...
Great thing to see for the Bulls and all their fans. Scott Skiles is definitely the best choice for the coach of this young team. He's a hard-nosed guy that got his group of young guys to work their butts off all year. I'm going to be excited to see what goes down next year since they've all gotten a chance to play together for a year and develop chemistry. Can't wait to see how Skiles and the Bulls handle it.
Weird negotiations, you have to wonder what Skiles and Reinsdorf exactly said to each other...but i'm glad it's over with and that he's coming back.
Yeah I agree with moth of you on this. I am so happy that we got him back. I think the most damaging thing for any young player is playing for multiple coaches early in your playing career. I think this was our problem in our first couple of rebuilding attempts, and if we would not have been able to resign Skiles we would have taken several steps back.
this is the first of many people the organization needed to bring back this offseason...good start for the Bulls
guys, this news means we can all now look for a very real chance of having a championship contending team in four years. Im so excited now for next season, these aint gonna be your baby bulls anymore
