<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">CHICAGO - A few hundred miles and a weeks removed from an off-court incident Chuck Hayes has put behind him, the former University of Kentucky forward was happy to talk about more pleasant issues such as basketball, his re-sculpted body and his much questioned height.

"I'm about as light as I've been since high school," said Hayes, who proudly reported Tuesday that he weighed 232.4 lbs, about 10 pounds less than his listed college weight.

And depending on whom you ask, he also grew a few inches.

Hayes led the Wildcats in rebounding his final three seasons and finished with 910 career rebounds, seventh best in school history, observers often wondered whether or not he was even close to his listed 6-feet-6.

After getting measured with and without his shoes at the Moody Bible Institute where Hayes is participating in the NBA pre-draft camp that started Tuesday, he was equally pleased to announce that he is 6-5? without the shoes and 6-6? with them.

"Everybody got on me (about my height)," Hayes said, smiling. "A lot of guys, their egos were hurt today when they saw what my true height was."</div>

You never know, that extra inch could help him get drafted. He's still going to be labaled as a tweener, but I actually think he could make it as a 6'7 PF with the skills he has.
