I find it funny. Everybody complains about nobody playing like a "TEAM" in today's game. But as soon as we get two of the best "TEAMS" in the NBA Finals, they complain that the series is going to be too "BORING" because the lack of "STAR POWER". So which is it going to be, the teams with the high flying dunks, crossover dribbles, and the trash talking players pushing and shoving, or would you much rather see teams playing the "RIGHT WAY", with fundamentals, setting screens, good sportsmanship, and clean play like they "So Called" did in the Ol days. Or I forgot, that's TOO BORING, maybe the highflying "IN YO FACE" dunks, and "ANKLE BREAKING" crossovers aren't so bad after all. Please, MAKE UP YOU'RE MIND PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!

I definitely think you can have both. Just look at the Championship Chicago Bulls. They had the biggest star in history. Not to mention Pippen was also named to the starting five of the 1990's. And there's also Dennis Rodman who is all about image and scandal. None-the-less the Bulls played fundamentals while still showing the flashy moves.

Jordan could create highlight reels and Pippen was a defensive stopper. Rodman, Longley, Horace Grant (not all from the same years) were good rebounders. Ron Harper distributed the ball well. It was a TEAM not a group of individuals, yet there was so many flashy elements.

The Shaq/Kobe Lakers were also in the same mold of Flashy plays and fundamentals.

I would prefer the fundamentals because that is really what wins championships, but teams acquire bigger fanbases through their star players. We need both elements for the NBA to be great league.
