<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Hill's agenda items are many right now. To wit:

He has reached an agreement with Tom Sterner to rejoin the Magic staff as an assistant, and Randy Ayers will likely be appointed to a similar role later this week. Sterner worked previously with the Magic under Hill, Chuck Daly and Doc Rivers. "It's old home week, I guess," Sterner said of returning to Orlando.

Chris Jent, Paul Westhead, Morlon Wiley and Clifford Ray will not be retained as assistants. Jent rose from fourth assistant to interim head coach after Johnny Davis was fired. Ray worked with Dwight Howard last season and helped him make dramatic strides. Howard, the No. 1 overall pick last June, campaigned publicly for Ray's return to no avail.

Hill has spoken to each Magic player by phone and plans to visit each player personally in coming weeks. Complicating matters is the looming NBA lockout, meaning he won't be allowed to have contact with players after July 1.

Hill knows his success in his second Orlando stint will depend on his ability to relate to star guard Steve Francis. He said the two have had extensive talks by phone, and Hill hopes to visit him soon in Houston. Though it could affect what kind of player the Magic draft first, Hill said he wasn't ready to discuss which position Francis will play. Francis, the Magic's top scorer and assists leader, bounced between the two guard slots last season.</div>

I'm really not happy with the release of Clifford Ray, ESPECIALLY after what he has done to help Dwight. If Ray stayed then who knows how much more he could have helped Dwight.

Dwight Howard's father has hired Clifford Ray to just help out Dwight, so we dont'r eally have to worry about that.
