Lets here your NFC power rankings this season. Just to see where you all rate all the teams. I will start. 1. Eagles- They are the NFC Champs until beaten. They have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball yet. Westbrooke is playing and saying TO is not is premature. McNabb is amazng and they have a great coaching staff. If TO comes back they are the clear cut favorites in the NFC. They aren't my pick to go to the SB as of now but they do earn my respect for making 4 consective NFC Title games and a SB. 2. Falcons- They have a lot of returning starters on both sides of the ball. They now have a year under their coaching staff and are ready to roll. The defense is one of the best in the NFC this season. They have 3 solid runners and they need a wideout to emerge whether it's Price,Jenkins, or White. 3. Vikings- No team improved themselves like the Vikes. They got a solid offense as we all know and still finished top 5 without Moss for some of the season. Culpepper had his best year ever and was overlooked last year because of Mannings sucess. Burelson should pick off where he left off last year and if Tice makes the right calls this team could be title bound. 4. Panthers- The Panthers were suffered by injuries last season. They lost a lot of players but they are back and hungry. Foster and Davis and Collins is amazing deph at RB. Steve Smith returns to make fans not miss Muhammed. Colbert showed great promise last year as well. The best defense in the NFC in my mind. Adding Thomas Davis and Ken Lucas. The Panthers might be back to their 2003 form. 5.Packers- The Pack lost a lot last year but are in a weak confernce. Favre returns which is scary as does most of the offense. They had one of the deepest lines in football last year and lost 2 guards. guards are replaceable. Tackles might have Favre worried a little more. Granted you can't replace the talents of Rivera and Wahle but you do have players who can come in and do nicely. Defense is a question and Jim Bates is the key to getting the defense pumped up. 6. Rams- I no people think Cardnails are going to take the division and Warner is will be back. Well I don't. The Rams have a solid offense and a defense that will be ok. Steven Jackson showed amazing potential at RB late last year and will take pressure off Bulger. Martz just needs to give him the ball and not be to pass happy. 7. Bucs- Brian Greise played great last season when he was in. Carnell Williams is the best back of the draft in my mind. They do have a solid defense yet as well. Main question is offensive line and I think it will hold up to make the Bucs contend for a WC ounce again. 8. Seahawks- They have a lot of a team that made the playoffs back. Alexander may not play which would probably cost them the season. They need a reciever that can catch the ball. Maybe Jackson has gotten better and they couldn't take Robinson any longer. A strong o-line and a defense that might not be bad. Seattle will contend in the West this year again. 9. Lions- Harrington is the key to the season. I think if he plays well this team could make the playoffs. Personally Mike Williams is a rookie and we have no idea what Charles Rogers is really about. Garcia might take over but I think it will be to late. The lions passed on the best defensive player in the draft to take Mike Williams. I think Williams will be amazing someday but Derrick Johnson would of been a better help. 10. Saints- They always seem to hang around but never make it to the playoffs. I think they got the potential to do so but they had a not so good defense and Brooks had his ups and downs. Saints wouldn't shock me if they go 9-7 this year but they play in what I think is the toughest division in the conference and maybe football which will give them problems. 11. Cowboys- drafted 3 defensive players that may start. Might not be a good thing now but will be nice later. Bledsoe is an upgrade but the offense has not youth outside of Julius Jones. Dallas could sneak in but I think it's doubtful this year. 12. Redskins- Cambell might start sooner or later and the offense has gotten a little better. Maybe Snyder is looking for team chemistry instead of opening his check book up every off season. The defense should be good but not the best in the NFC with losts such as Pierce and Smoot. Portis is going to have to carry the load for them and he will do his best but it probably won't be enough. 13. Bears- I just think the Bears are a year away. Benson isn't going to dominate right off the bat but he will get good. Muhammed will help Grossman emerge. The defense could use help but Tommie Harris is due to breakout this year. A healthy Urlacher means a tough defense. I wouldn't be surprised to see them contending but I think they are a year a way yet. 14. Giants- They were 5-4 before Eli took over. He now as experience and should bounce back this year better. Barber is getting older and I think we have seen the best where going to see out of him Plaxico signed and should help and the defense picked up Pierce and might be ok. The Giants in my opinion are still a ways to go before they are talking division title. 15. Cards- Yea Kurt Warner is there to start and I think he is finshed. Don't expect big play numbers out of Warner even with Boldin and Fitzgerald. J.J. Harrington is a rookie runningback and he might not be the answer right away. The pressure is on Warner and I don't think he can handle it anymore. The defense is ok but needs work. Cards have a lot of hype this off season but I see them picking top 5 next year. 16. 49ers- enough said right. Well Alex Smith will have his struggles. Barlow isn't has good as expected and will for the sake of the team get better. Peterson is back but not happy. The o-line is weak as well. This team has had 2 good drafts in a row but now will they pan out. The ownership and front office there is a joke and they finally made the right choice with Smith. Hopefully for the sake of him he can play decent with the mess he is in.
Saints are a little high for being at the bottom of the NFC South, and i think the cardinals are gonna go 8-8 with all those additions to their team
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (panthersare#1)</div><div class='quotemain'>Saints are a little high for being at the bottom of the NFC South, and i think the cardinals are gonna go 8-8 with all those additions to their team</div> HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHahHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man you guys are funny
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (porky88)</div><div class='quotemain'>11. Cowboys- drafted 3 defensive players that may start. Might not be a good thing now but will be nice later. Bledsoe is an upgrade but the offense has not youth outside of Julius Jones. Dallas could sneak in but I think it's doubtful this year.</div> I read Dallas first (because of course, that is what I do). I appreciate the opinion and won't pick on your placement of Dallas. However, you should do more research and make choices for the right reasons. There are 11 starters on offense. Yes, some of them are old. However, 5 of those starters next year will have 3 years or less experience. Throw in kicker and half of the 12 are very young. How much youth do you want? Julius Jones isn't even the best proven of the youth. Don't overlook 23-yr-old Jason Witten, who caught 87 balls for 980 yards and 6 TDs....not a bad season for a TE.
I have to strongly disagree with your Giants ranking. With Burress coming in that fills the number one spot. WIth that filled in it opens up Toomer as a nice safety option. Shockey is there as well as a nice safety blanket as well. Then theres Tiki Barber, who just kicksass bottomline. So the question is Eli. But there he has 4 possible Pro Bowl players to throw to. He will make 2nd year mistakes but as long as he evens every game out with a td and an int's and let the running game carry through they will have no problem. The Will's(Peterson and Allen) are now into year 4 and I think they'll keep progressing into SOLID Cb's. Alexander in the time he played at the safety position was consistently a playmaker. The stats m9ight not say it but its true. Gibril Wilson Stepped up as a rookie last year but got hurt. They are getting Shaun Williams back after a year of injuries. The LB corps is going to be solid. Antonio Pierce may have been the steal of Free Agency. Barrett Green will have a second chance to prove himself as well. The Defensive LIne will be fine. We are weak at the DT position but we signed some veteran's just incase. This will be William Joseph's make or break year. Strahan and Umenyiora both had good but injury plagued season although Umenyiora's were minor he had a breakout year for a 2nd year player. NOw what everyone questions about teh giants year in and out. teh Offsnsive line, will it hold up? Yes it will my friends. Ill tell you why. They Signed Kareem Mackenzie over the off season. They have Luke Petigout who has been solid throughout his career. Chris Snee was great last year, stepped into that Guard role like no one's business. Shaun O'hara will have a second chance to prove himself he struggled with injuries all of last season. He is a vet and I beleive he can bounce back. We also signed BIG BOB Whitfield from atlanta, he'll prove to be a leader for the young guys even if he isnt starting.
Well the thing with Dallas is Bledsoe,Glenn,Johnson,Allen,Rivera are all rather older starters and thats just off the top of my head I am sure there may be more. Julius Jones isn't proven yet to me and you may end up starting 3 rookies which isn't a good thing right off the bat but hey it's my opinion and you have yours.

I was just pointing out that you can't say the offense will struggle because it has no youth. That is wrong information.
i wanna see drew henson start at QB, they need a young QB so that they can delvolp him, and i think it is a bad idea every year bring in a QB that will only play for one or two years. They need to think about the future. Either go with Henson or draft one next year. Im not trying to take anything away from Bledsoe, but if Bledsoe was 25 that would be great, he is close to retiring

When Dallas falters, you will see Henson or Romo starting. Henson had a bad sidearm delivery last year, so starting him last year would have helped in some aspects and hurt in others. He spent the entire offseason correcting his mechanics and getting reps.

Julius Jones and Witten being the ups and the downs being the recieving core.

My opinion is that they are the most OVERRATED team heading into the off-season. A rookie RB to start the season. A QB who I believe will never throw more than 20 TD's in a season again. A defense that has some questions. To me they didn't even come close to seperating themselves from the likes of the Rams and the Seahawks. I think the 49ers win 1 game and it comes against the Cards.

Hopefully for the sake of him he can play decent with the mess he is in.</div> Hey Porky like the picks. Couple of changes though. Here is the way I see it. (Guess who I am going to move up) 1. Panthers (Just a feeling I love their D and there offense is going to get back to form.) 2. Eagles (Still good and despite who I predict to be one still the team to beat) 3. Vikings (It hurts to put this here but they have Culpepper and we botch PAT's) 4. LIONS (Joey has a carreer year and the leos make the Wildcard one game behind the Vikes for the Norris title. We lose on a botched FG snap or something retarded. I fully expect a storm of critizism for this and I am not going to say that I don't deserve it so bring it) 5. Falcolns (Makes the other playoff spot because of Micheal Vick) 6. Packers (Much respect for Farve. This defense is the worst in the North. Again fully expect to upset some people with this.) 7. Rams (I hope not. I am pulling for the Cards.) 8. Cowboys (Parcells is the coach and they have had a very good offseason) 9. Bucs (Still have a good Defense. Greise was one of the most accurate passers last year and Williams will help out a ton) 10. Cardinals (I don't like Warner and that is why they get second in the West. There D is acceptable and the offense has potential. Just like the lions they go as the QB goes) 11. Redskins (That D is sick. There offense is literally sick. That's why they drop here. Although if they can get a passing attack going switch them with the Cowboys) 12. Giants (Eli Shockey Burress the offense should be better. The D still has Strahan and a good secondary. I think they will be a little better) 13. Bears (Good D. They have to be great though to be better than this. Grossman is a failure at QB and Mush and Benson won't be enough to carry the O.) 14. Saints (I hate the saints. I hate everything that they do. The South is going to be the strongest conference in the NFC next year. And because of that they are going to suffer badly. I expect at least a coaching change at the end of next year) 15. 49ers (I don't think there is any explaination needed. They are just bad.)
Hey lionbacker11, I don't think the Eagles will take the NFC again but they are the defending NFC Champs and until then I put them at the top of power rankings.
Lionbacker, I will say this...the Lions are starting to look really good. They will look like a contender when you guys dump Harrington. The kid just lacks the decision making skills as well as the raw skill to compete at this level. Obviously you guys have talent everywhere else on the field, and I still think Marriuchi is a good coach... Your pick isn't horrible, if they get rid of Harrington.
