Who will win the Finals MVP if the Spurs win the Finals? Since game 1 Manu has been one of the contenders for the Finals MVP. But don't forget about Tim's performance.
Not to get ahead of time, but if the Pistons win, I think Chauncy Billups can get the Finals MVP for his second concecutive time. But if the Spurs win, expect Tim Duncan to get it for the third time, as stat wise, he is getting points, boards, assists, and blocks, just like in the 2003 series against the Nets. Even though Manu might be the difference maker, Duncan always comes in strong every game, and throughout the whole playoffs, he's always been the dominant one.
I expect the Spurs to win the finals in 6... maybe even in 5. I think it will be a toss up between Manu and Duncan, depends how the fans vote. Duncan should get it though, he is the Spurs offense... he is their leader. Manu is just playing freakish though.

2-3-2 Finals format Look at what happened last year but the Spurs have no internal problems compared to last year Lakers. With coaching and teams of this caliber, I won't rest easy until the Spurs have game 4 won. If they can get up 2-0 on the Pistons it'll be a psychological advantage. This is a bold statement but without Phil Jackson coaching now, you probably have the top 2 coaches in the league. Even with the success Pop has had, I still have to, give the #1 coach to L.B. he's Pop's mentor. Larry Brown and Greg Popovich both will end up in the NBA coaches hall of fame and too will Phil Jackson! PJ and LB won't be coaching much longer anyway if at all. They still deserve their props. Still PJ can stick that asterisks remark, where the sun doesn't shine. PJ is a class act, he did need to lower himself by making that remark. The Spurs and their fans will never forget that one. What up Davy (B-Sam)? Anyways I think that Ginobili will get the Finals MVP, and yes the Spurs are going to win the series. You can tell by game two they have complete control over the Pistons. Manu is definitely the best player throughout this series so far.
If Ginobili plays like he did in games 1 and 2 for the rest of the series he will most likely win finals mvp.

Like many others I think the Finals MVP will be Manu Ginobili if the Spurs win it all, but if it goes the other way I'm gonna have to say Ben Wallace or Chauncey Billups because their IMO the cornerstones of the franchise right now, Prince is coming but not quite there yet and Sheed hasnt been terrific in the series, well I guess the whole team hasnt been good but those are my picks/reasons.

Manu is the kind of out of control player that on a bad night will hurt your team with turnovers. He just couldn't get anything going. Even with the way he has played this series, Duncan would be the MVP If the Spurs win the series. His overall impact is far greater.
