Pittsnogle played in his third game of the week at the pre-draft camp Friday morning. He scored 16 points and made one 3-pointer but that wasn't enough to convince him that he should stay in the draft.

"I'm going back to college," Pittsnogle said as he stood outside the Wyndham hotel with his bag packed on his way to the airport. Pittsnogle chose to skip out on the physicals and medical testing this weekend.</div>

Let's see if this has a domino effect on some of the other 108 underclassmen.

Good decision by Pittsnogle. He doesn't have a good enough low post game to make the jump as an underclassman, and look at the situation he's going to head back to at West Virginia: a very good coach, a deep backcourt, a team that's coming off an outstanding run in the NCAA Tourney. He's going back to become the #1 option with the Mountaineers, and he can further develop his post game, defense, and rebounding in a new, improved Big East. This is a good decision for him, and it just might make WVU a threat in the Big East and a potential top 25 team.

All I know is that this guy killed in the tourney. That's how I remember him. "You just got pittsnogled." How awesome is that. Maybe some of the underclassmen will actually learn a lesson from this guy. Many people have to go back to college and get their game better. They can handle another year or two.

A threat in the Big East? Sure. A potnetial top 25 team? Don't hold your breath. Let's be honest, Pitsnoggle is a decent player, but he doesn't make the difference between a borderling 50% season and a top 25 ranking. They still lose Fischer, Sally, and Bonner. However, I think they'll make the tournament and probably surprise some people throughout the season again (but that's just because no one ever sees WVU coming).

This team is more of a run n' gun team and getting their big man Pittnogle back is going to help a ton. But as Voodoo said this team lost their better inside players and lost Luke Bonner who decided to transfer to Eastern Kentucky.

I don't see why they can't be. As I've said, I really like their backcourt, and as long as they get sufficient production inside, I think that they'll be a good team. They've got the coach, that's for sure. That said, Pittsnogle isn't much of a defensive presence, and he'll need to improve his rebounding. The loss of Sally is big. However, I really think that this team can challenge the upper tier of the Big East. Maybe I'm still high on them from loving them so much in last year's tourney... [IMG]

I guess we have just been Pittsnogled. But yes a good decision by Pittsnogle to return and possibly be a higher pick next year if he does well this season at WVU. I'll agree with Schaddy a little big saying that WVU now can be a sleeper team in the Big East and potentially creep up into the top 25 rankings. We will just have to see how it plays out for WVU fans.
