What moves do you guys think that the Heat management will make this offseason?
Who do you guys think should stay or go and which free agents to eye on?
I can't wait for next season already!!!!!!!!!!!!

Move Damon to the bench and sign a veteran pg like Payton or even take a gamble on Jay Williams who looked very good during a workout against guys like Dee Brown and Ray Felton. They need a guy who will get the ball to Wade and Shaq, who can step up and be a leader in the locker room, and someone who doesn't mind being a fourth or fifth option on offense.

I think gambling on Jay Williams would be good. Is he known as injury prone? I don't know much about him since I didn't follow him while he was in college. People have doubt on him that he won't be like a player he used to be but he doesn't have to be a big time scorer with this team.

There are several things the Heat need to do during this offseason that are very important to our future.

    1. Re-sign Udonis Haslem. He is a terrific rebounder and has improved a lot since his rookie year. He is a great role player and I think he is very important to our team. He may not get noticed much because of the stars around him but I think he is a key player in the Heat's success.

    2. Draft a young center. We traded for Shaq and signed Alonzo Mourning to win now but we still need some talent down low for when those guys retire. We need to draft a big man that Shaq and Alonzo can teach and hopefully he will develop into a nice player that can help us in 2 or 3 years.

    3. Sign Dwyane Wade to a long term deal. He has proven that he is a great player and that he performs well in the playoffs when his team needs him most. We need to keep Wade in Miami as long as we can and he is obviously our future.

If we can do these things and stay healthy next year I think we can get to the Finals and have a good shot at winning the championship.

I donno if Jay Williams would really be good for the miami, sure hes a good player but they dont need anothre bad free throw shooter. At end of the game the Point Gaurd must be able to hit big FreeThrows. But if his free throw shooting improves then yea gamble on him for sure.

Extend Wade should be a priority. I'd say try tio sign Watson/ A. Daniels or any other PG who wouldn't mind being a 3-5th option (not Payton). Draft a PF or C, i doubt you will get any decent centers at the end of the draft but there are plaenty of PFs that can replace Haslem. At the trade deadline i would try to dump Eddie Jones' fat expiring contract to fill a need, Butler has played well and could start.

They need to resign Udonis Haslem, as well as acquire a backup center whether it is from the draft or from free agency. I've heard they will be interested in guys like Stromile Swift, and Kwame Brown. They could also use another point guard, there has been some speculation on whether or not thy want Damon Jones starting a point even though he had a tremendous record.

I'd take Haslem over Brown anyday. Kwame is the perfect example why an age limit is needed in the NBA. He will probably demand to much money anyway. Look to see them re-sign Wade next off season, once Shaq's extension is dealt with. They need Haslem because he is unselfish, and he plays very well with Wade and Shaq, no need to break up the team chemistry for someone who just quit on his team.

tru, kwame is selfish and immature..but he has alot of potential and I think he will learn alot from shaq. Plus i dont think kwame has the balls to do something stupid with shaq guiding him.

All true, but the Heat doesn't need potential right now, they need guys who can lead the team to success.

Just because you have potential doesn't mean you'll ever reach it. I'm very skeptical about Kwame and i'd definately take haslem anyday. Most important thing is getting a better point guard and deeper bench. Miami has enough swingmen, they need a good backup to haslem. Hopefully haslem can further improve his game this season, i'd really like to see him average a double double next season.

Yeah that is the whole reason we traded for Shaq and signed Alonzo. The Heat are building to win now. So getting a project like Kwame wouldn't make sense for our team.
