<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">HOUSTON -- Houston Rockets star Yao Ming may have surgery this summer to remove bone spurs from his left ankle, his agent said. "This is nothing major, the recovery time is pretty short for this type of surgery,'' Yao's agent, Erik Zhang, told KRIV television station in Houston.</div> Source Not sure how long it takes to heal from this type of surgery, but is it possible Yao misses games with the Chinese National Team? If so, maybe it's a blessing in disguise for Rocket fans. With Yao actually getting some rest, Yao should be fresh for next season.
If he is somehow able to use this surgery to get some rest, then it's all good for Yao and the Rockets. Btw, noticed something in this article. Yao's agent: Erik Zhang? What happened to Bill Duffy, or is he just one of multiple agents?
Colin Pine is Yao's translator. So who's this Zhang character? Shape, according to your knowledge, are there any cases of players having more than one agent?
I did some researching and it turns out Erik Zhang is Yao's second cousin and so called advisor. So I guess it does allow Zhang to represent Yao in public briefings and such.
If Zhang is part of the five-man Team Yao management, then it would make sense. I guess ESPN has its blunders too huh.
