You take an umbrella before leaving the house because it is cloudy and it rains later that day. Or you try a restaurant without any sort of recommendation and enjoy a great meal. Or in the case of Brent Barry, you hear the sound of sneakers squeaking and take a peek out the window. It was last summer, and Barry had signed a four-year, $21 million deal with the San Antonio Spurs, leaving the Seattle SuperSonics after five pretty productive years - and no playoff series wins. Barry had turned down a bigger offer from the Portland Trail Blazers for a chance to play with the Spurs, who seemingly contended for the NBA championship every year. I would play with Timmy and Manu anyday, he made the right choice. I live in Portland also and its sad to see the blazers suck the way they do.
He may of made the right choice but I can't say the same about RC and the Spurs. Huge dissapointment has Barry been.
