Don't think so the Suns are the best bet if we can get 1 more big man.

The Suns are the best bet? Keep dreaming, it's the team they lost to: San Antonio.

Amare will take out Duncan, Parker will lose to Nash, Thomas is better than Mohammed, Joe and Manu match out, and Marion is way better than Bruce Bowen. If we do get one more big player we can defenitley beat them.

It's a team game. Individual matchups play a huge factor anymore. San Antonio has more depth than Phoenix. The Suns may play better offense, but defense wins championships, something the Suns are atrocious at doing.

Don't you just love it when these days so many peopel just compare individuals and their offensive games. But totally disregard their defensive games.

Last I heard you can't lose to someone individually unless you're playing 1on1... so this year I guess Parker beat Nash... because his team beat Nash's.

Amare had a great series against the Spurs this year, but IMO he can't do it all the time, he was just feelin' it all series long.

Come back to me when the Suns (especialy Nash and Amare) actually play some defense, then we'll talk to see if they can contend with the big boys.

Oh they contend they were 1 of the best 4 teams in the league, "without defense", even though they do play defense but since they play small ball you can't really tell.

whats all this i hear about new jersy, phynix, and so on remember that when they played against the spurs that they were barely reaching thriple figs and that was only because of amare putting up 50 a game. next year without Q and with the same type of game other teams will be ready for them last year was a 'cheap shot' kinda because no team was ready for it.next year theyll be ready. and new jersy waaaat, please kidd will be injured half the season and carter will spend most his time at the end of the bench with a towel on his head they may make the playoffs but they cant compete with miami, indiana, detroit and cleveland they just cant.

what about barry, horry, rasho who matches up to them, you forget that the spurs won against the pistons with great help from people of the bench infact without them they may not have won at all.

Ok, about San Antonio's Bench, in the finals they only used two players, Horry and Barry, so they aren't as deep as everyone says. The Pacers are good, but they haven't added anyone major from last season so they'll do the same, lose in the ECF.

The Pistons should have won the finals. They were a way better team than the Spurs. They beat the Heat in the ECF and the Lakers in the Championship the year be4. Yes, the Spurs did win the championship, but i think they're overrated.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Mr.Wade:</div><div class="quote_post">Who knows if JJ is going to go back, and as I said before Nash doesn't even use his size and his defense is so poor his height doens't make a difference.

Marion is 6'7 like I said, Amare is 6'10, he's got some size, but isn't using his full potential if he plays center.

There is a big difference between Kurt and Big Ben.

Although they are the same height, and same weight, Ben plays SO much stronger and IS so much stronger than Kurt Thomas. Ben is a 3 time DPOY winner, and can block like a fiend. He can play weakside defense, on the ball defense and be a bruiser too.

There's a reason why Wilkens and Isaih didn't like Thomas as their PF/C and wanted to get him out.</div>

There is also a reason that Isaiah has helped soooo many teams become better while sky rocketing his payroll on a sub par team. He is a bad GM who makes bad decisions. Trading Nazr M. for Mailik Rose? The Steph trade where he took not one, but two huge contracts (and helped the Suns become contenders again)? He has made a ton of horrible decisions. So to use Isaiah in your argument is crazy. Also the Pistons team is very comparable to the Suns team size wise. You say a small team like the Suns cannot win a championship, but the Pistons have and might again! Where is your argument? Also Ben Wallace (Roethlisberger: Big Ben) may play large for his size but the same can be said for Shawn "Matrix" Marion who is 6'7 225. He averaged a double last year and was one of the best 4s in the game. Also it does not matter what position plays Amare will dominate but I feel like he plays better at the 5. He has more space in the paint and on pick and roles. Also he does not have an excellent back to the basket game yet (which he would have to use more of playing PF). Amare has the best season of his career, dominated in the playoffs and he is better suited at PF?! Please explain some of the points you have made.

Not if we aquire Finley or another SG. Then we can add even more players and still be under the cap. With the JJ contract Phoenix will (would) be paying $14 million. Finley would sign for much less because he is already recieving his Mav's contract. We can also sign bigs like Theo Ratliff and resign Steven Hunter with the extra money.

There is a long off-season ahead of us and the Suns will make up for JJ. Isaiah has done bad deals but i think he has redemeed himself so far.

Do not give up on JJ yet. Remember that Robert Sarver did tell JJ that he would probably match the Hawks offer.

    Next season predictions.

I know its way too early to make predictions for next season, but I thought it would be interesting to look back after the trades are done and at different points in the season to see how we thought things were going to pan out in the coming season.

I think it will be hard to tell about who's going to win the title but the Spurs are going to be up there, along with Indiana.

I also have a feeling about New Jersey doing pretty well, maybe 2nd round or even the ECF.

As for the Knicks, I think they may just about get into the playoffs and the Lakers would make it in 6th position. I think the Warriors will also make the playoffs or just narrowly miss out by a couple of games.

I can't see Detroit making it farer then the 2nd round playoffs. The Heat won't be the number 1 team in the East but they will still be the second or third.

Amare Stoudamarie is going to be a huge force aswell this season, I can see him breaking out. I can see he learnt so much by playing in the WCF.

Well, so far thats what I believe will happen, so what are your thoughts?
