Jason Kidd. Nash is the better shooter, he can score easier, he's the better dribbler, penetrator, and he can do everything offensively as Kidd, but he doesn't possess the all around game as Kidd. Kidd is the best rebounding guard in the NBA, and he's a very good defender, even if he's not the same quick Kidd as before. I find it interesing that the 2 best PG's in the NBA (Kidd and Nash) were once on the same NBA roster.

Let alone that Kidd in many situations was being aimed at as the best scoring option from the opposing teams, and he led his team to the Finals two years in a row with a roster much worse than what Nash had. As of your last comment, it's similar to Magic and Nixon. I really believe Norm would have been a 'great' point guard has he played on another team.
This is a no-brainer: Jason Kidd of course. If you put Kidd in Phoenix, he would definitely be the MVP. Plus he?s the better passer, defender, and better overall floor general.
I don't know if you remember this but JKidd was in Phoenix and he didn't do much. He had good player too like Shawn Marion, McDyess, Finley,Hardaway, Gugliota, and many others.
what the hell man. anytime you win an MVP award youre obviously better than jason kidd. jason kidd doesnt even go close to steve nash imo. j-kidds job is a pg, so yes he does rebound well but steve nash takes the job of a PG better than him. for real, can jason kidd pass like that or score like that??

Were talking about whos had a better career and whos a better player not whos mvp for one season. Jason Kidd actually can score and of course pass like that. And can steve nash get triple doubles like that?

The only reason why he scored 40 was because they were all over stoudemire and left him alone. And kidd might want to leave now but you dont think he was happy being a 2 time eastern conference champion? of course he was.

They left him alone because Stoudemire was drawing all of the attention. He wasn't happy but noe with VC in New Jersey he is a lot happier. He isn't going anywhere. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">He got MvP this year, because ThiS YEAR he had a better season than Kidd, but that really doesnt mean anything. I'm sure Kidd would be considered ahead of Nash if we asked who would get into the HOF first. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">what the hell man. anytime you win an MVP award youre obviously better than jason kidd. jason kidd doesnt even go close to steve nash imo. j-kidds job is a pg, so yes he does rebound well but steve nash takes the job of a PG better than him. for real, can jason kidd pass like that or score like that??</div> Nash isn't the leader that Kidd is. A point guard doesn't just do his job on offense. There are tons of good defensive point guards. Nash is a defensive liability. They are almost the same as each other on offense, but Kiid is the better all around player.
You know what next year the Nets will be a lot better now that Richardson is going to be healthy, VC is going to keep playing good and Kidd, will be Kidd. Nash is staying with the Suns so we will see who is the better point guard next year. But, keep this in mind, Steve nash averaged a double-double this season, with points and asissts. Kidd never averaged more than 7 or 8 asissts. Nash was averaging 11 or 12.
no offense dude but are u retarted!! kidd never avereged more than 7 or 8 assists!!! he avereges 9 assists for his career!! the only time he didnt avereged at lease 9 assits was his rookie year last season and his 2nd season with the nets

Kidd, he's a better passer, much much better defender, and a better all-round player. Nash is a better shooter and scorer, but that's where it ends really. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">You know what next year the Nets will be a lot better now that Richardson is going to be healthy, VC is going to keep playing good and Kidd, will be Kidd. Kidd averaged 10+ APG on teams who didn't even score 100 PPG.
This is a really close matchup. Nash is the reigning MVP. But he cant play defense and Kidd can do that. But Kidd sometimes struggles with scoring while nash is a very good shooter and penetrator. That saying I think theyre almost alike. I bet if you put Kidd back with the Suns with the Run-and-Gun style that they presently have, he couldve been the MVP. If you notice Nash couldnt take his mavs to the Finals or even the second round while Kidd with a mediocre team took them to the finals twice. I pick Kidd. He's a better overall leader and can pass better.
