<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Bogut, who did not participate in last week's pre-draft camp in Chicago, has a workout scheduled with the Bucks next Monday, one day after North Carolina forward Marvin Williams has his session in Milwaukee.

Both players will perform in front of Bucks owner Sen. Herb Kohl.

"It really gives an opportunity for the coaching staff, as well as Sen. Kohl, to meet each of the players," Bucks general manager Larry Harris said last week. "It's obviously a chance to see them work out and for us a chance to sit down and let them know what our game plan is. It's a little bit of a recruiting thing on our end."

On the basketball side, what the Bucks will see, according to NBA consultant and draft analyst Chris Ekstrand, is a complete player who despite his age (20) should be ready to contribute immediately.

"There are a couple of European players specifically who are in that 7-foot range at the position," Ekstrand said. "But some of those guys might even be power forwards. They might not be centers. The thing about Bogut is that he plays like a true center.

"He can really score on the block. He's a hard guy to guard down there because he has a lot of answers. And then if you double-team him, he can hurt you with a pass because he's a pinpoint passer. And he'll hit cutters. He's very unselfish that way. Bogut is NBA ready."

Lacking a dominant post player, the Bucks really can't miss should they choose Bogut, despite rumors that hit last week about the Australian's eyesight.

Word spread, reportedly from former Utah coach Rick Majerus, that Bogut has a degenerative eye disease that will rob him of his sight in the next few years.

Bogut dismissed the talk when he met with reporters in Chicago, where he underwent a physical.

Bogut wears a contact lens in one eye for nearsightedness.

"If every person who wears a contact lens in the United States has a degenerative eye disorder, I think you'd have a lot of sick people," Bogut said. "I'm not going to go blind in two years, mate." </div>
