PJ is back in the coaching seat. Tex has already turned down consulting for the Lakers. Perhaps PJ will bring in a couple of his favorite leaders to pass down some wisdom?

I'd love to see Pippen bring out the potential in Odom, on offense and especially defense. [IMG]

I would love to see Scottie coach the Lakers. He will bring out the potential in Odom, and he will show him how to co-exist with a superstar like Kobe, because we all know that Scottire was Mj's sidekick.

I'm actually against the idea of bringing Pippen aboard. I don't remember his teammates being to fond of him when he played with the Bulls. He has an arrogance about him when he speaks and I don't think he can adjust his personality to get players to listen to him. He has no sideline coaching experience and I'm not sure him and Kobe have the greatest relationship either. I remember them talking trash when Kobe first entered the league. Including Kobe dunking on him and when Pippen was on the ground Kobe said, "Get up you little bitch, you can't guard me." Also Pippen sat out of a game when the last play was called for Toni Kukoc and not him. Anyone remember that? I always respected Pippen's game, but I never liked his personality and arrogance.

I think players like Harper and Shaw will be better additions on the bench to go along with Tex Winters, Kurt Rambis, and Frank Hamblen.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">As he settles in, Jackson will have to make decisions over the coming weeks, probably before an owners' lockout that looks more certain to arrive July 1.

Frank Hamblen, Kurt Rambis and Brian Shaw are logical candidates to be on the sideline as assistant coaches, and Jackson has mentioned former Chicago Bull All-Star Scottie Pippen as another possibility. Jim Cleamons, who won three championships under Jackson with the Bulls and three more with the Lakers, is believed to be entrenched with the New Orleans Hornets.

Tex Winter makes sense as a consultant, although the 82-year-old triangle-offense guru is in Hungary for two more weeks at a basketball clinic, and his wife, Nancy, could only partly guarantee his knowledge of Tuesday's news, the reunion heard 'round the world ? perhaps.</div>
