Now that Phail Jackson is back in L.A, I think Shaq was pretty mad that he went back with Kobe after all of the drama. So do you htink that this will make Shaq even more motivated to get back with the Heat and win a title. I hope it will.
Phil Jackson returning to the Lakers will defenitely make shaq even more hungry for that title. Next season NBA WATCH OUT!
Man i think shaq will be upset with jacksons return and as a result it will fire him up a little i think next season Shaq and the HEAT will be the team to watch! This was there first year with shaq in the squad now they have experience they will dominate next season, hopfully there is no injuries! GO HEAT! WHo u want to win the finals?
I think Shaq is motivated enough by the contract extension he wants from the Heat. The East is going to be even stronger next season, especially the Pacers with Ron Artest coming back. The Nets will also be stronger with a healthy Richard Jefferson. Shaq and Wade are enough to get the Heat into the playoffs, but I'm curious to see how they improve on their bench. Right now they stand to lose Damon Jones, Keyon Dooling, and Udonis Haslem to free agency.
Heat wont get a championship, the East is getting tougher and there are alot of way better teams than the Heat that will knock them off the playoffs.
Man a Lakers-Heat Finals would be great. Too bad the Lakers' don't have what it takes to get there (Tries to stir up a debate ).
3 big reasons why Shaq will come back stronger next year! 1) unfortunate circumstances kept them from the finals 2) Phil going back to the Lakers 3) He promised Miami a championship and he realizes his age is coming into effect. He senses the urgency.
Two things Pat has to do to have a great shot at the O'Brien Trophy: - They must have a better supporting cast than the one they had this year. You don't win a championship with Doleac, Dooling and Butler as key players in your rotation. - I'm not really sure Stan Van Gundy is the coach that'll take them over San Antonio, Detroit, or Indiana.

And Mourning, Dooling, and Butler are actually very good.

I wasn't aware about Dooling leaving. Haslem will most likely stay unless some team dramatically overpays him. - I'm not really sure Stan Van Gundy is the coach that'll take them over San Antonio, Detroit, or Indiana. No one can knock Stan Van Gundy, he has been a tremendous coach his first two years here. Especially in his rookie season having a young team, without Shaq. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Heat wont get a championship, the East is getting tougher and there are alot of way better teams than the Heat that will knock them off the playoffs.</div> Who? The only teams that are better than Miami are San Antonio and Detroit(when the Heat is injured) Phoenix is a possibility, but without a defense they can't stop D-Wade and Shaq.

They must have a serious upgrade in that area if they're seriously thinking of grabbing the title next year.
Udrih and Rasho? LOL das funny. I'll giv you Barry and Horry, but not those two bench warmers. Carlos Arroyo doesn't even know what he's doing whenever he gets in the game, and McDyess is ok but not like Mourning or Dooling.

Carlos Arroyo is real good and in any other team would probably be a starter, but on the pistons you cant really call him a key part of the rotation, because he barely plays.
I was serious, Arroyo may be good but I really ain't seen nothing special from him. How could you even compare Udrih and Rasho to Zo and Keyon. Zo would eat Rasho for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Udrih is a pure 3 point shooter but Keyon is more explosive and can till hit the jumper. I would love Mcdyess on the Heat but I'd rather have Keyon and Zo. I just think Arroyo is a bit overated because he had a good stretch with the Jazz.
i agree with everything there, except he is not overated at all. Did you see the olympics?! He owned USA all by himself.
Yea but that U.S.A team was a total failure, I'll give him props for that, but he hasn't really carried it over into this season.
Dooling is trash. I think Miami needs to realize they need vets as back ups. Veterans can come in and get it done, score the ball. I think they should start Rasual next year and let E.Jones be fire power from the bench..Split their minutes, so Rasual can learn the game since he has alot of potential. Get a young PG, let Damon Jones be a scorer from the bench. Get a veteran SG to back up Wade or let E.Jones play both spots. And atleast get a decent PF to back up Udonis Haslem.

As for this topic, Shaq was said to have motivation this year. Trying to prove a point to the Lakers, to Kobe to the whole league e.t.c and yet again comes up short. Shaq will never ever win an NBA title again. He is just not a guy who can lead a team on his back anymore. So no new added motivation will help him.
