<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Remember Predrag Stojakovic and his unusually blunt request for a trade from the Sacramento Kings last summer? Well, from all we heard regarding his situation on the team from the capital of California, Stojakovic and his agent David Bauman would like us to forget about that demand altogether.

Even though the Kings were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Seattle SuperSonics, Stojakovic is showing some very clear signs that after his contract is up, his future NBA team might be the same as the current one.

Whether it was motivated because of the Chris Webber trade or because privately he feels just cozy in Sacramento, where he lives a comfortable family life with his beautiful wife and his baby, and where he bought the house for his parents this winter, we would probably never know.

^Oh well? The only things Peja lacks are athleticism and aggresiveness...the Euro softy [IMG] Hes a very good player.I wouldnt read too much into things like this though.Weve learned from Geoff that if there were a trade that involved Peja that would benefit the team then he'd be gone.Good to know Peja is atleast somewhat happy to be in Sacramento.

Hah! That would make a Peja for Artest trade even more hilarious!

It's because Peja has shown hes nothing more than a sublime shooter who puts up nice numbers in the regular season, but fails in the playoffs...he needs to be the seconf or third option on any contending team because he has proven that he needs help...hes arguably the best shooter in the L, but thats all he does...

now this is just a hypothetical scenerio, but assuming Mobley is on his way out of Sacramento, would the Kings trade Peja to the Rockets for Bob Sura, Clarence Weatherspoon, and our 24th pick? Maybe I'm just on something, but that seems like a good trade to me...Sura gives yall depth at either guard spot, Weatherspoon is in the expiring year of his deal and frees up a lot of cap space for next season, and there are many contributing players rumored to be available at the 24th spot, such as Ronny Turiaf, Francisco Garcia, Jarrett Jack and Wayne Simien...what do you Kings fans think?

I think we could get a higher pick, and someone better than Sura. For instance.. there was a rumor #10 and Odom 4 Peja and Bobby. Im sure we could get something better than that Rockets trade.

Wouldnt happen.Kings dont need a backup point and sura would just be another undersized shooting guard.Peja's stock is alot higher than that if you ask me.I think that idea if presented to Petrie would get a laugh and a dial tone.

EWWWWW that Rockets trade would be horrible...

    1. They don't receive a starter quality player
    2. Peja has a good contract
    3. Peja is happy
    4. Sura seems like he could disrupt chemistry and isn't a pure point
    5. Weatherspoon wouldn't get any minutes as they have plenty of better PFs.

I believe doing that trade could possibly take the Kings out of playoffs or make them an average team.

    Peja for Artest.

Kings get a defender, a proven scorer and some value in return before Peja jets at the end of next season.

Pacers would not do it, I don't think. Kings fans should love this, but Pacers fans.. im not sure.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that Indiana would not do the deal but if they would, the reward would outweigh the risk in this case. Artest would solve a great deal of the Kings problems defensively, he can score and (most importantly) he refuses to back down in crunch time, sorry to say unlike Peja. I know that this would be a huge risk but you gotta remember, Peja is a UFA at the end of the season and I truly believe that no matter how much the Kings throw at him, he will leave them at the end of the year. So why not take a risk? If it pays off, they might be 1 or 2 moves away from winning it all.

peja i think is probably going to stay with the kings but when his contract is up if he gets a better deal this would be a big chance for him because if he gets traded to a not so good team well that would be a big chance for him to make an even bigger name for himself because lets say he gets traded to the warriors..they havent been in the playoffs in a while but if peja gets them to the playoffs and maybe even further that would be big for him...but i dont want him with the warriors i want him with the kings!lol
