Horry has been doing that his entire career.
I'm just amazed that Larry Brown didnt see that play coming.

How about that DUNK !! I didnt think he had those kind of hops left.

Great game overall. Duncan will be thanking Horry for the rest of his life...

Yes, Timmy will thank him. talk about choking on the FT's. Hack and Duncan was my greatest fear on that final possession.

    Big Shot Bob indeed!

On a side not, what is 'Sheed (Or Brown for that matter) smoking that they go trap Ginobili on the baseline and leave Horry open?? I hope that wasn't Brown's intention, 'cause it'd really make me question his intelligence.

Best playoff/finals game of his career. The final shot he hit wasnt the only big one he had in this game.Horry has something like 15 points in the 4th quarter.Simply clutch.

No player in NBA history, excepting maybe Reggie Miller, has hit more clutch 3-pointers in the playoffs than Robert Horry.

On the list of all-time clutch playoff performers, where would Horry rank?

Certainly, Michael Jordan would have to be right at the top. Reggie Miller and Sam Jones (from the 60s Celtics) also come to mind. Jerry West, of course. Kareem. Bird. Hakeem. Havlicek. All these guys are stars, though. Amongst role players, though, has any player been a better playoff performer over his career than Robert Horry?

I still can not believe that Wallace left him after he inbounded it. That was a mental lapse that costed Detriot the game and maybe the series.

Well, maybe he was unhappy that his time out call happened just after 4th quarter expired to avoid tech. ft. So, he found another way to ruin the game [IMG] ...

This was amazing and I think Robert Horry proved tonight that he still clutch and he can play tonight, Tim Duncan didn't exactly help his team tonight missing four free throws late in the game. I think he needs to thank Horry more then anyone.

Check it, there is only one clutch, pure greatness, the true X-Factor, thats Robert Horry.

Just in case some of you didn't know what he was great for before the Spurs. Heres a video. This is what he did for the Lakers... haha the exact same stuff he's doing for the Spurs now.

Big Shot Bob strikes again. Talk about a HUGE mental mistake. The Pistons let Game 5 slip through their fingers and have now lost the momentum. I know Rasheed is going to take most of the heat for leaving Horry open, but I think Rip Hamilton cost the Pistons this game. There were 4 key plays he was involved with, that allowed the Spurs back into this game.

The first mistake by Hamilton was in OT, when the Pistons had a 4 point lead. Manu Ginobili turned the ball over and the Pistons had a golden opportunity to push the lead to 6 with about 2:30 minutes left. Rip Hamilton takes a bonehead jumper and misses,
leading to a Tony Parker layup. So instead of being up by 6, the Pistons only lead by 2 points.

The second play was the facial Hamilton took by Robert Horry. He was slow on the weakside rotation, and instead of taking a hard foul on Horry, he tried a half-hearted attempt at drawing a charge.

After the Pistons got a steal from Tayshaun Prince with 34 seconds left and being up by 2 points, Rip missed another jump shot instead of driving to the basket.

Finally Rip took a terrible shot on the Pistons last possession, and got away with travelling and an offensive foul. There was plenty of time to get the ball back to Billups to take the final shot, instead of Hamilton forcing a game winner.

If Rip makes any of those shots, there is no Robert Horry heroics.

All I can say is Wow...I'm stunned, that game belonged to the Pistons. Robert Horry is clutch and is a great player yes, I will give him that...But with Rasheed in his face chances are he wouldn't of made that shot...Too bad 'Sheed made one of the biggest mistakes of his career...I don't care if Brown said it was his fault, I don't buy that. 'Sheed F'ed up and he knows it. Also how about him almost pullin a C-Webb in the 4th? That was kinda funny..What was even more hilarious was that the announcer immediately mentioned Webber...God it must suck to be that guy. I'm sure he was hoping and praying someone else would make a mistake, expecially in an even bigger game so he doesn't look like such a moron. Anyway, my hats off to the Spurs, was a great game. Robert Horry...Where did those Hops come from, for real, that was a crazy drunk, right up there with Tmac Tea baggin Shawn Bradley... [IMG]

Horry is the best basketball player in the world, no questions ask. You can't stress enough on how valuable he was to the Spurs in that game. That was one hell of a game and he came through for them and mainly Duncan, I'd say he bailed Duncan out big time. Granted if the Spurs lost that game, Duncan would take major heat for that lost. His horrendous FT shooting was a back breaker and the Spurs wouldn?t be in the predicaments they were eventually in if was not for his 1-7 FT shooting in the 4th quarter. So again, Horry bailed him out big time and Duncan should really think about buying Horry lunch. But instead of continuously talking about Horry heroics like many have already done, lets talk about the Pistons for a second.

The way I see it, the Pistons could have won this game. Billups was hot, so why didn't he continue shooting? The way I saw it is that he became a little too passive and thought as if he's the PG he must gets other involved. Wake up! It's a pivotal Game 5 and you're not missing so why not continue shooting the ball? So ultimately I think that cost the Pistons in the end as well as the points shape brought up about Rip. Not to mention, Wallace was lucky the time expired when he called timeout at the end of regulation. I?m sure Webber was hoping they called a technical on Wallace just so everyone can off of his back. Till this day Webber still gets some heat for that mental mistake he did back in Michigan. Nevertheless, the Pistons got lucky but at the end but again Wallace head was some where else and he left Horry open. He gambeled by going for the trap in hopes to getting a steal. At at time like that why would he double up on Ginobili when their best defender (Prince) was on him? I'm sure LB needed a asprin after that game. Don't get me wrong however, I'm not entirely blaming this lost on Wallace because when you look at the big picture, I don?t think it would be fair to individually blame anyone for this lost. If anything the entire team should be blamed. From Billups being too passive, Hamilton bad decision making and Wallace mental errors.

As for the remainder of the series, it will be very difficult for the Pistons to win two games on the road, but when you look at the what?s in the near future moreso than what lies all the way ahead, all the Pistons really need to do is win Game 6. And they?re changes at winning game 6 is not so farfetched. It took one of the all-time best performances by a role player in order for the Spurs to win, so if they can keep that in mind and do what they did in Game 6, I?m most certain this series will come down to a Game 7. I can almost guarantee that Horry won?t have a encore performances, well not naming his clutch shots that is but overall performances that is. Do not expect a 20 point night from him. So if the Pistons can win Game 6, Game 7 will be a toss up and I have feeling home court will play very little role in that game.

But at the end of the day, when you look at the cold hard facts as in that the Spurs only lost 3 regular season games at home and the Pistons have yet to defeated the Spurs on they?re own turf since 1997 I believe, it?s hard not to pick the Spurs to win game 6. That said, I have no choice but to say that they will prevail. Also, I think Game 5 is the last time you will see LB at home in the huddle with the Pistons.

    Spurs 106, Pistons 89
