<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"Everything I do is in his memory. He meant a lot. He was a great fan of my game. He was my best friend. He was my everything," said the Bronx-reared Garcia, who is among the players the Nets will consider drafting at No. 15 in 10 days.

Nets GM Ed Stefanski was impressed with Garcia's skill level, learned under Rick Pitino. Garcia is "fundamentally sound. He has a lot of NBA skills right now that a coach would have to develop."

Also auditioning yesterday were hard-nosed Michigan State guard Alan Anderson, Serbian shooting forward Miljan Pupovic and Brazilian forward Lucas Tischer, "one of the best leapers we've ever seen in this gym," according to Stefanski.

Monday is a big day with Hakim Warrick (Syracuse), Charlie Villanueva (UConn), Wayne Simien (Kansas) and Steven Smith (LaSalle) all scheduled to work. </div>

Why would nets draft Garcia? They have Kidd-VC-RJ locked. They need a big man.

I think that they did it to see if he slipped to the second round if he would be there for them to take. I agree I think they need a big man like Hakeen Warrick. He would be good in Seattle because he could start at the three and have Lewis play PF and move Radman to the bench, or Garcia could be a sixth man

I have a strong feeling he will go in the 1st round. I see him as a great fit with the Kings, if there is not a good PF on the board. I would like to see Garcia, if May, Warrick, Graham, Bynum, and maybe others are not avalible.

I would love to see Joey Graham in a Nets uniform. I think he will go in the first round as well, but I have seen numerous mocks that have him going in the early picks of the second.

I dont think they would draft Garica with their one only 1st round pick. I think this workout is because the Nets just wanted to take a look at him because they were think of at one time acquiring a 2nd first round pick. And also just in case Garica happens to slip out of the 1st round and into the 2nd, they may workout something to move up from #43. But the chances of Garcia landing in Jersey is slim. But if he did(of course like I mentioned not with the 1st rounder) I think with Ron Mercer being garabage now, and the question marks that surround Rodney Buford, Garica would be an excellent asset to have coming off the bench.
