<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Louis Williams is telling people he has a promise at the 26th pick with the soon to be former champion Detroit Pistons. But Williams is projected as a mid second rounder at best by almost every team, so the claim doesn't make much sense.

Is Joe Dumars really crazy enough to use the 26th pick on Williams? Probably not, but crazier things have happened.</div>

Insider just shot down this rumor. I don't see anyone offering him a promise, let alone the Pistons.

I don't see why anyone would consider him in the first round, however that strategy for the Pistons is fine IMO. They will be contenders for another couple of seasons at least with the core roster they have currently, why not stockpile some young talent like they are doing with Darko?

This actually wouldnt suprise me. In my first Mock I had him going to Detroit at 26 after a lot of things I heard when Wiliiams had a workout there. It wouldnt suprise me to see them grab him. Especially if the Iverson comparisons are even close to being accurate. If Larry Brown is still around, he'll just prove how much he really does miss the little warrior by drafting his Derty South clone.
