ya its ridicilous the way most celtic fans want pierce gone and have something against him. But anyways watchin The Rebirth of Paul Pierce as Hipokrat said is gonna be classic.
I don't think the Celtics should give control to their young players yet. Give them time to mature and grow in a winning environment, which is what Pierce creates. If you trade him and don't get a superstar back (which is most likely), then you risk turning the team into the Bulls before last year's draft.
Yeah I too think they should NOT trade Pierce...I feel that with vets like Pierce, LaFrentz and Ricky Davis, they form a nice core along with the youth that they have...Pierce is the heart and soul of the Celtics, and I feel that he deserves to have some nice, legit supporting players around him...players such as Jefferson, Banks, West, Allen, Gomes and Green give them great hope for the future, but when they also have enough talent to think about winning now, they should...I say the next move would be to try and package Antoine Walker in a sign-and-trade deal, preferably for a starting PG...
No one outside of boston is convinced that the celtics should trade pierce. maybe bostonians should stop listening to michael felger and get a clue. Paul Pierce has been the best player on the celtics since he got here. hes a PLUS not a MINUS. the celtics would be WORSE without him now and in the long run. The young players need the presence who knows how to ecxell in this league. Trade pierce from some kindly old veteran with good character references but no talent and no experience being the man on a team and succeeding in that role isnt going to help the kids.
