Don't be so biter mr. Laker fan, it was a pretty good season seeing Grant hill come back, a fun all star game, exciting playoff games, all the drama in the season

I'm a Knicks fan, so you know atleast you have it better

Congrats to the Spurs, this is the best series I ever seen in a finals, no one appreciates defense anymore, everyone wants to see Heat vs Suns, but when you look at it, Defense wins championship, while offense just gets ratings.

I'm glad that this is how it ended. If people wanna complain about how "boring" a series this was, I will pay no attention. Basketball is not just about a bunch of dunks and flashy plays that get player shoe contracts. It's about toughness and heart too, but I guess I'm one of about six people on earth who see it that way. [IMG] I understand that the first few games were pretty one sided, but you know what? We haven't had a game 7 in quite some time, and if a game 7 isn't exciting, I don't know what is. I'm honestly sick of everyone whining about how "boring" this finals was, and I'm glad as hell that it was the way it was because for once I got to see basketball played the way I'd like to see it played. Oh well. Back to reality, I'm sure by next year it'll be Kobe dunking on some dude in game 4 of the Finals to close out a sweep of the series, and that'll be much better. [IMG]

-that last part wasn't meant to be a shot at you, shape, it was just an example [IMG]

Don't get me wrong, I loved this match-up. I enjoyed the series and the defensive efforts of both teams. I like how both teams play the game and this was NOT a boring Finals. As a fan of neither team, no matter who won I'd have the same comment. Call it bitter, but this was a rough season for Laker fans. From Chick Hearn passing away to, an embarrassing season, to watching two Laker Rivals battle in the Finals, this season was not fun.

[IMG] Leave it to a Celtic's fan to point a 'used to be' Laker rival. Those leprechauns haven't graced the NBA Finals for how many years now? [IMG]

About the same amount of time it'll be until the Lakers make it again.

Ouch. What a burn... it's funny b/c it's an actualy statement that can be true.

If Phil Jackson thinks that Kobe is Jordan and Odom is Pippen running the same triangle offense with them, than he must be out of his mind... I'm wondering what the Lakeshow's record will be next year.. they could possibly get teh 8th seed. If they're lucky.

Hey Shape, the Celts made the playoffs at least this year [IMG] . IF, a Big IF, the Lakers can get some more players that can get Kobe some help, so he don't have to shoot 40 times a game, they can be in the Playoffs, and get the Kings out of the playoffs.

Utah will dominate next year!!!!! [IMG]

Good season, and now I'm waiting for the offseason. This summer is the foundation for next year so we will see which teams make moves and which ones don't. As for JBB I'm ready for the mock offseason game.

Once again, I didn't mention the Lakers not being in the Finals being a reason why this was a rough season. I don't think the Lakers will be back to the Finals for awhile either, and have a stronger chance of being in the lotto again than being in the playoffs.

I'm not a fan of the Spurs or Pistons so it was a lose-lose situation no matter who won the Finals.

if Kirilenko and Arroyo stayed healthy they could of made the playoffs and make a little noise

Bill Russel is, if you consider him a PF.
If not, then your statement is 100% valid.

Bill Russell was a center. I got 4/6.
"Spurs in 4th Overtime, Ginobilli 35, Duncan 40 and Quadruple Double, Billups 56! Duncan MVP".
No overtime, but ginobilli and duncan scored big and spurs won and duncan was mvp. Too bad about Billups. The Turnovers were SA:4 to Det:2 for the guards and didnt play a huge roll in the game. YEH T.D MY MAIN MAN, DOIN IT ONCE AGAIN! i may be hearin things but did i hear back2back? lol seriously i heard someone from the san antonio office said it. oh well. i hope they can! Spurs have the major 3 till 2010 so look for a great dynasty!
