<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The NBA announced last week that a few of its teams would hold training camp overseas and play preseason games against European clubs in 2006 and 2007. None of the teams has been announced, but the 76ers are expected to be part of the mix. Yesterday, after predraft workouts at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Sixers president and general manager Billy King said that nothing was official and many details still had to be worked out, but that "the plans are for us to be part of it." While nothing is concrete, King mentioned that Germany and Spain could be two places where the Sixers might play exhibition games</div> Source
Interesting. If the Sixers go play overseas, I'm sure many of the guys will get jet lagged, but nevertheless they should just enjoy themselves and I'm sure the fans will enjoy to see them perform, especially A.I. Not too long ago, there was this article on SI and it indicated that Iverson jersey is the top selling non-international player jersey outside the states. So that just goes to show you that A.I has just as much fans in states as he does in other parts of the world. I'm sure there will fans pile up to see him similar to how Yao Ming was greeted coming back home. This will most def. be a treat to the fans on the other side of the globe, give them someone like Ray Allen who is not nearly as popular but I'm sure they will appreciate him quite possible more than they do back in the states. Stern is doing a good job making the NBA a global affair sort of thing, but if he can manage to bring the All-Star Weekend to Paris in 2008 that would huge. I'm sure Tony Parker would try to work his butt off to try and make that All-Star team.

That would be cool, we never get to see NBA teams going up against 'international' teams, what a stupid term that is: international teams.
I love how the NBA is branching out across the world. And now with Philly apart of it, we should look really forward to it. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Not too long ago, there was this article on SI and it indicated that Iverson jersey is the top selling non-international player jersey outside the states.</div>Wow I never knew that. I was expecting international players to have more of the popularity.
