Gary Payton was on Best Damn tonight. They talked to him about his future and the rest of his carrer. They asked him who he'd like to play for next year. Best Damn: Give me 3 teams. Payton: I want to come back to the west coast, but Boston is always an option. But uh... Sacramento, Phoenix. Id love to play with them. I want to run and gun. I would be very happy to see Payton finish his career in Sacramento. Bobby Jackson doesn't seem that happy here. Gary Payton would be a good backup for Mike Bibby. Also, the Kings could get something in a trade with Jackson. - What do you guys think?
It all depends on whether payton is willing to be a backup. If he is he would be a great fit for the kings.
Hed be a 3rd string point for the Kings if hes talking about next year.Jackson will remain a King in the 05-06 season.Wouldnt want Payton's Laker bandwagonning-team up with Malone-pay me peanuts so I can win a championship butt anyway.
GP is known for being a great 2-guard, but the Kings have 2 great PG`s in Bibby and Jackson and Payton would have to be a backup to Mobley unless the Kings move him to the starting role.
