    Judge Gregory Hulse issued the ruling after defense lawyers asked that Hulse permit Pierce, 22, to leave Wednesday and return to Iowa today.

    Expenses for the trip would have been paid by the team, court records say.

    Pierce is charged with two counts of burglary, assault with intent to commit sexual abuse and fourth-degree criminal mischief for an alleged attack on a former girlfriend whose West Des Moines home was vandalized in January.

    A trial is scheduled for Aug. 16</div>

    Speaking as a life long Hawkeye fan, I absolutely don't want the Warriors to draft Pierce. He's very talented, but I've never seen a player with a lower basketball IQ. He has absolutely no sense of the game and is a horrible decision maker.
