yea but Palmer has tons of potental as the 1st overall pick, Losman was a middle 1st round pick so i think in one and a half years he is gonna be use to the NFL

3 thoughts. 1) Scott Norwood 2) its Saints fans that have the bag fetish (sorry beef) 3) I guess bills fans prefer plastic.

i agree with GF, he made a great point, the Jets are a perfectly balanced team. I actually made this point last year when i said the Jets will be good and no one took me seriously. They have a top 5 defense and with a new offensive coordinator who is actually good and made the Titan offense a force for a while, the Jets will be much better on the offensive side. Plus with Pennington and Coles hooking up again thats just more of a headache for the defense. Also you gotta remember that the Bills are gonna have trouble with the Jets new offense as are all teams. With a new offensive coordinator there they are gonna have to watch more Titan tapes than Jets tapes. The Jets are a better even more complete team than last year. The Bills are not a complete team or balanced. They have o-line problems and a new QB behind them. The Bills need a few more years to reach their full potential and they will be a great team soon. But right now they arent good enough for 2nd or 1st place in the AFC East.

Jets are probly going to the Playoffs. Pennington is a great QB, Losman is unproven. Pennington is extremly smart in his descions, and Losman will throw lots of INTS. So as you can see Pennington is gonna carry the Jets over the Bills

I'll take our #2 defense that's good for almost a TD a game along with a couple turnovers a game against anything the Titans O showed me while they were making the playoffs.

The Titans at the time had a better running back in Eddie George too.

That was then. This is now. The past is done with. Curtis Martin ran for 1500 yards so I think he and the Jets can do damage.

I'm sure he may have added some stuff, dropped some stuff and made a few tweaks here, but all I've got to say is that the Titans lived and died by how Eddie George did - they were a team that was content to get into a punting war with you as long as they could keep making you punt closer and closer to your endzone.

You are making it seem like the Bills are that much better than the Jets when reality is that they aren't much better if not worse.

hes under the impression that they are much better. You know what though. Martin running for 1700 yards last year makes them a great offense alone. Plus with Coles back its even better and Pennington healthy even better. Maybe u dont remember last year. The Titans had Billy Volek behind center, Wrs of Mason and Bennett. And Chris Brown as a running back. Billy Volek started 10 games and ended up with 2500 passing yards. 7 out of those 10 games they scored more than 20 points. Mason and Bennett both had over 1000 yards and combined for 18 TDs. Brown who didnt play the whole season because of injuries still had over 1000 yards rushing. Too bad their defense sucked because they would have won a lot of games. So now you have more talent on the Jets than the Titans on offense and a better defense. Infact a Top 5 defense. So dont you think thats a huge improvement. Look what the guy did with what he had last year and look what he did with George and Mcnair a few years ago. He'll do better with more talent and a much better defense.

I just think that we match up favorably with you guys. Curtis Martin doesn't tear through our D like he used to. And Mike Mularkey will pull a lot of trick plays on people that will be ran from normal formations that will make you guys (as well as our other opponents) be looking for something out of that set (trick play) when we'll be running just a conventional play.

We saw it a little bit last year with Bledsoe at the helm, but his immobility took away from Mularkey being able to really open up his magic playbook.

See the backwards pass to McGahee against the Seahawks?

I think we put both of our WRs on the right side of the field, hiked the ball, and let McGahee beat the LBers to the corner - simple but brilliant - it yielded a TD.

I really can't wait to see what he does with Losman.

BTW - Mularkey's the one who drew up the "Kordel walk away from the center and act like you're going to call time out and then hike it to the Bus or Zereoue for the TD". (The Rams copied it like a week later I think).

You also gotta remember he was in a significantly weaker division too - the AFC East will make it a lot harder for him to look like a genius.

If the Jets do use alot of similar formations and plays as the Titan's then look for Just McCarens to have a huge year, a great receiver going back into the offense he broke out in is a good sign!

Just like the AFC East is going to give Losman some troubles during the season.

Yeah, I'm not taking anything away from that possibility - fortunately that's the defenses he's been preparing to face all offseason and all of last year.

One more thing the Jets will have going against them is it WILL take them some time to learn this new offense - you don't just install a new offense and expect your team to know it right off the bat - I'd expect the Jets to win a few nailbiters with their D early on and lose a few too.
