http://www.hoopsworld.com/article_13157.shtml According to this its 5th and 13th for 10th Cook and Butler If this is true then that's bit of a weird move by Bernie..
I thought the same thing..why would Bernie settle for 10th when he had 5th and 13th which were two good spots in the draft for them which he could have used to draft two great players? Doesn't make sense to me at all.
Exactly Psycho Drama, with #5 and #13 the Bobcats can land two young players and have their rookie contracts on the books. Caron Butler is nice, but the Bobcats could draft Granger, Green, or Deron at #5, all younger and cheaper than Butler. Arguably more talented. For the Lakers they lose one of their biggest trade pieces to land a big man. I don't like the idea of two rookies on the roster next year trying to play under Phil Jackson. Plus they trade 3 spots down in the draft.
I guess he did it because of Butler potential, they would fill a need at SF, then they could draft Jack with the 10 pick(unless they re-sign Brevin). That's the only reasoning I could imagine for this deal.
This makes no sense at all, why would they take Caron Butler and Brian Cook ? I guess they needed more Lakers to keep Kareem Rush company.

http://www.nba.com/warriors/ Look at the backdrop behind Chris Mullin to the right of him. Bobcats are the next spot behind the Warriors because you can see the faded logo.
