ESPN has Lakers trading for the 5th (Bobcats) for the Laker's 10th. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft/d05/tr...r/round?round=1 Bobcats Forum http://www.justbball.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38899 Lakers Forum http://www.justbball.com/forums/showthread...newpost&t=38898 Things are getting interesting and NBA finals ain't even over yet. Well tonight they will.
The Lakers are media whores, if they did make this trade they once again steal the thunder away from the NBA Finals.

Any chance the Lakers want DFish back with Phil Jackson? It would be nice to get a defensive/shooting small forward for him.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">Sure, as long as the Warriors eat the bulk of his remaining salary.</div> Man this guy's untradeable. At least we have the option to take away one bad contract if we're paying luxury tax under the new CBA. Hey you wonder if the ESPN draft board uses some kind of program database to manage it rather than update it by hand? It could be an application bug that wrote out "from Lakers/from Bobcats"... Either that or the ESPN guys are trying to sign up more insiders...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting CohanHater:</div><div class="quote_post">Hmm.. not far enough down to get Paul... Wonder who they're after?</div> I think it's Green or Felton with the worst case scenario of Fran Vasquez. Paul could fall to the 5. Bobcats are probably assumed to get a SF from the Lakers so they could get a shooting guard/point guard at #10 or #13. I think Jarret Jack is still in it. Might be a good change of pace to have a starting point guard that won't get posted up every time running back down the floor. C - Brezec / Okafor PF - Okafor / Gerald Wallace SF - Caron Butler SG - Antoine Wright PG - Jarret Jack Not bad, actually for a rookie team.
http://www.nba.com/warriors/ Look at the backdrop behind Chris Mullin to the right of him. Bobcats are the next spot behind the Warriors because you can see the faded logo. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/363...pick_dismissed/
If the Lakers get the #5 pick I hear it's for Green. They've had him in for workouts and there were rumors that they'd move up to #3 to get him.
