I heard about this, but it is unfortunate. He was great for us a couple years ago. I really liked him.
Well this is no big deal at all for the Suns. He was not consistant in the rotation, and was really just a body they used to throw at big men in the conference. He could never stay in a game long enough to make a difference since he picked up fouls like crazy. I was expecting this to happen. Especially, with the possibility of the Kurt Thomas trade going down soon. Then they will have enough big men with Amare,Thomas, and Hunter (if he is back next year) that Jake becomes expendable. I do not think they will be able to get that much for him in the trade market. Perhaps they should look into possibly aquiring a second round draft selection from a team for him considering this years draft is pretty deep. Since they are trading him for cap room anyway I do not think they are hoping for much in return.
They are just going to include him with others in a trade, but a 2nd round draft pick would be nice. You're being unfair to him. He was actually pretty good when he was their starter a couple years ago. Whatever team gets him will be lucky. But you are right, we will have too many big men.

Jiri Welsch and losing the pick in a very deep draft? Keeping Q... If we lose Marion too...oh my god. I didn't hear anything about this so I'm hoping it's not true.
