<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">According to a number of NBA sources, Danny Granger had an outstanding workout this past week in Toronto and could be their top available player on the board when the number seven pick rolls around on draft night. With the #4 for #6 trade we reported earlier between Utah and New Orleans off the table right now (New Orleans is beginning to realize what an excellent spot they are in at the moment), Granger would indeed be there at 7 as long as things go as expected with Green or Paul going 3rd or 5th, Deron Williams going 4th and Utah standing pat and taking Raymond Felton. Granger fits in perfectly with what the Raptors are looking to accomplish in terms of his style of play and character, with the fact that he was absolutely lights out from behind the arc being icing on the cake as far as Toronto is concerned. The feeling appears to be mutual. Sources close to Granger have indicated that Toronto was indeed his favorite city on his workout schedule so far, going as far as to say that Danny expressed that he loved everything about his trip to Canada; including the coaching staff, front office, and just the organization in general. If he?s on the board (which looks likely right now before any trades have been made), look for him to be taken 7th on draft night. </div> http://www.draftexpress.com/viewarticle.php?a=1018 I do hope Granger will be on the board when our 7th pick comes around
It's hard to see us passing up Granger with our 7th pick. Babcock has mentioned that he has been on their radar since last year. I would be more than satisfied with Granger, Webster or Green (depending on his workout) being selected at 7.
Thats good to see, i hope we could get him at 7. Sucks that i wont be able to see the draft on tuesday cause im going to the airport that night.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting playmaker31:</div><div class="quote_post">Granger will most likely be gone, I think he's going to New Orleans. Who knows he may slip to 7.</div> I hardly see them passing up on Deron Williams with their 4th pick. They are in a dire need for a point guard.
Ok, seriously.. you think anyone with a talent calibre of Deron Williams in their right mind is going to sign with the Hornets? And last time I checked, Dan Dickau is an unrestricted free agent and they only have about $11 million in salary to spend on filling up their roster. With only 9 players under contract, $11 million isn't a lot of money.
Wow I was expecting to see Green? Meh I guess Chad Ford should move his mock draft a little later to notice how time changes things lol
There is now a chance for Granger to come 7th... and I'm lovin' it like McDonalds baby... This guy seems liek everything we need. Defense, slashing, strength, agressiveness... even some shooting to mix. I just hope he's not injury prone when he comes into the NBA. It's a tough 82 game schedule... grueling.

That's nothing compared to some of the other prospect players *cough cough Rashad McCants / Martell Webster*
LOL im loving this guy too..forget green..i want granger. i love players who love canada. i think we'll be able to get him. his scouting reports said he was a "shut down defender"
I don't see how Babs can pass him up if and hopefully he's on board at 7... I mean unless Bogut, Marvin, Paul or Deron slip... Granger is our man.... Babs can't afford to screw this up.
Unfortunetly, it looks like his stock has absolutely skyrocketed and could go anywhere from 4-6. At least we'll have Green or Wright, but I'd much rather have Granger.
I heard that our chances have gotten better to get Granger bcause N.O isn't trading their 4th for Utah's 6th. Utah will draft either Frye, Vasquez or Felton. Portland is interested in Bynum and Webster. You know the drill for everyone else.
If Granger loves Toronto that only gives us further incentive on drafting him, hopefully he won't turn out to be a Tmac and bolt...
I hope that Toronto can get Granger, he seems like a great player and if he likes t-dot it's a bonus, Granger is athletic and has all the tools to be a great defender. I dont see why we cant play Jalen at the 1 and trade Rafer for a big man?? Jalen has played point before and he sure can do it again, Granger would slide in at the 3 with Mo-Pete at the 2 and Bosh then the player we traded for in the Alston deal.
Jalen can barely guard a player his own size, what horrible defense would we have if Jalen or Mo Pete were guarding a Tony Parker or even a stephon Marbury. Jalen may be able to run a teams offense, but he struggles on defense and whoever of the three (Mo Pete, Jalen, Granger) has to guard a 6'1 or 6'2 player will struggle considerably. Anyway if we get Jarret Jack, Rafer can start and when his job is threatened by someone other than Milt he will have to learn Mitchell's ways or be the 6th man.
Mo Pete can hold his own against those quicker and smaller guards, as his lateral quickness has improved significantly over the last off-season when he lost 20 pounds. He is the best perimeter defender on the Raptors roster currently. Rafer will be the 7th man, as either Mo Pete or Jalen Rose will most likely be the 6th man. Rose can't pout about Granger starting over him because clearly, Granger is a better overall player.
