Is anyone very familiar with this new agreement? From what I'm reading teams that are over the cap can waive one of their big contracts, am I right? From what I've been reading that's what New York is doing with Allan Houston and Dallas with Michael Finley. So why don't we do this with Brian Grant? Again I'm really not too familiar with what's goin on so, can someone confirm this?

Yes teams can do this, but it doesn't reduce a team's cap space. Instead it saves the team luxury tax money. Brian Grant could be a consideration, but with only 2 years left, he becames a valuable trade piece once his contract becomes an expiring one. I think the Lakers will pass on exercising this option.

Yeah Dr. Buss has more than enough money but he can wait to trade Grant next year. He would be very valuable to some teams.

This new CBA would be very good for someone like Andrew Brynum. I like this new collective bargaining agreement. It looks very good.
