Wow, this is simply trash! Do they not understand that Kentucky has a ton of depth? Losing Morris who averaged 8 points and 4 rebounds as a High School McDonalds All-American center. Our two 7-footers Alleyne and Obrzut should be able to carry the load downlow and we added the top junior college player in PF Rekalin Sims. Rondo, Sparks, and Crawford will be a solid guard trio, but they aren't getting much attention. It's okay though, Tubby will have these boys playing up to the best of their ability.

Michigan State being 25th is worse than having Kentucky at 23. They only lost one starter(Alan Anderson) but he will be replaced by Matt Trannon who provided MSU with a big body off the bench last season. Shannon Brown will be on player of the year watch list IMO and Paul Davis will play like he was expected to out of high school. IMHO, this team is definitely a final four team, because of the experience they have.

Nevada at 7 also blew my mind because they played a crappy schedule last season and I just wasn't that impressed with them. Don't get me wrong- Nick Fazekas is a flat out stud, but he won't be enough to make this team a top 10 team. I wish CBS would explain why they have Nevada so high instead, they say some BS that makes no sense.

Look who wrote that crap, Gregg Doyell. He does not know anything bout college basketball. Nevada sucks, they got one potential NBA prospect in Fazekas, but wow, 7th. Like you said Kentucky got shoved out of the picture man, they behind Stanford, Stanford is in a weak conference that they can't even dominate. I think Gonzaga is overrated on that too, they lost Turiaf, they didn't get a replacement for him did they?
Memphis is a big suprise, they'll be good but not that good.

Guys, guys. Haven't you realized by now? Greg Doyell is a pawn for sportsline whose sole existance in life is to say that craziest s*** he possibly can in order to create a ruckus about it. why do you think he has that hate mail box? so when he comes up with said crazy s***, everyone can start talking and a buzz is created. he's the lowest form of filth that exists in the media today, and I'm ashamed that one day I may be his colleague. hopefully by then he's learned that sports journalism isn't about pissing people off in order to get recognition, it's about news and information and analysis. hear that, greg?

texas tech #7? G.W #11? OKLAHOMA STATE # 17?(lost 4 starters and 3 of their 4 best bench players) and michigan state only #25?

I thought this guy got fired, there is too much to comment on this is just 100% pure trash. Duke at one is fine but Villanova should be higher, after all they are bringing back all five of their starters from last year and having Nevada and Gonzaga over Nova is a joke.

I think Memphis will surprise a lot of people this season to be honest. This team was supposed to be a killer team them past season, but they had a few key players who got in some trouble. Freshman sensation Darius Washington Jr did the right thing and decided to play another season at Memphis after his great year, and Rodney Carney who was Memphis' leading scorer will be back for his senior year. And this team also has a dynamite recruiting class coming in that features Shawne Williams. Click here to see recruiting class

Well, you know, any list, people will have their little gripes. So a lot of the problems with this list aren't that major.

But Michigan State? #25? Are you kidding me? That is just so far off it's not funny, at least 15 spots worse than they should be.

Michigan State returns an All Amercian candidate in Paul Davis, a top point guard prospect in Drew Neitzel, and two wing players who are good enough to average 15 ppg each. To replace Anderson, the Spartans have a crew of big men, and even a former top 25 recruit coming in with redshirt frosh Maurice Gray, and he's a forward who can definitely help replace Anderson. They rebound, they defend, they've got a top coach and they return 4 of their top 7 players from a Final Four team. Let's just say that Michigan State will be just fine this year.

Wow this is horrible. Come to think of it, I don't think i've ever seen a Pre_Season poll worse than this. The only one I agree with is the possibilty of Dukle being number one. They defiinitely have the players and the heart. Louisville at 3? No way Jose. They'll struggle to be in the Top 10. I see them more from 10-13. Oklahoma at 2? Without Lavender who is gonna play point guard? They don't have an incoming point guard and if they move Everett to point than who will play the 2?
