"It's been wild," Warrick said. "I have seen my name going anywhere from No. 9 to 29, and I'm all over the place."

Golden State, which picks ninth, reportedly is interested. In addition to Golden State, Warrick has worked out for New York, New Orleans, Portland, the Los Angeles Clippers and Lakers, Orlando, Toronto and Charlotte.

"So far, I've gotten a lot of good feedback from my workouts," he said.

No matter where Warrick goes, he is likely to be asked about his late-game heroics in Syracuse's 81-78 NCAA championship victory over Kansas in 2003. Warrick blocked a three-point attempt with 1.5 seconds left to preserve the win. Kirk Hinrich missed a long-range shot at the buzzer, and Syracuse had a long-awaited title.

"I still get asked about that block all the time," Warrick said. "It will stay with me the rest of my life and my career."

Warrick was a late bloomer. He said he wasn't recruited heavily until he played well at the Nike camp in Indianapolis before his senior season at Friends' Central. Before that, La Salle, Villanova, St. Joseph's and Drexel showed the most interest.

Boeheim said that while NBA teams would like Warrick's all-round improvement, they would be even be more impressed by his character.

"He is tremendous, and never said boo in four years," Boeheim said. "You don't get that many good players who are great team leaders and do the work they are supposed to do all the time. Those are guys you love being around."</div>
