I'm not sure if anybody saw this, but Pippen was on ESPN and picked the Lakers to rep the west in the NBA Finals next year...when asked if he was serious, Pip replied "yes" and said that the Lakers have a secret and he knows what it is... Could he really be serious?? If he was serious, what secret could he be referring to? Perhaps that he will accept an assistant job? (no big deal) Or perhaps something more noteworthy?
How many years does Brian Grant have on contract with the Lakers. He is second highest paid behind Kobe, and if they drop his contract and a few others and make a few trades and get contracts for players with less money, they can pull some strings and may get another superstar on their squad, or at least someone good. I would love to see the Lakers get an extreme defensive threat such as Big Ben or Ron Artest, or maybe even Shawn Marion. The Caron would be worth trading.
Maybe they are close to making a deal for a big superstar that might put them over the top? That certainly is strange.
wow I cant wait to see what hes talkin about, To be that confident with a team that didnt make the playoffs a year before, this must be something special they gon get.

Ha Ha your funny, I heard a rumor that Paul Pierce might be going to the Lakers for Odom and another player. I really don't see that happening but that's what i heard.

Ya Pierce and Kobe wouldnt get along probably. They would probably complain about who takes the most shots, that just simply wouldnt work. But i've heard that rumor also.
I dont see how the lakers coming out of the west next season unless they make a huge move. but for who?
Oh yeah, because Gerald Green is soooooooo good bvious sarcasm: Gerald Green has no place in the Lakers, nor any other team untill he has proven that he can play. The Lakers may end up in the last playoff spots, but I see no way for them to win the championship.
