Miami could be interested, as well, if the Heat elects to get out of the rest of Jones' $30 million contract. The Suns, who drafted Finley, are believed to be interested.

Finley would be one hell of an addition to the Pistons roster.

Finley would be a great addition to this Pistons team. He is a player who puts the team ahead of himself he was the anchore for the Mavs for years, even before they started to actually win. He never got the credit he deserved, and you never heard him whine about it. I think his attitude fits the hard working, team ahead of the individual stats attitude the Pistons have about them.

First McDyess, and now Finley, the Pistons have to be loving free agency right now. This would be a great addition for Finley and he can step right in and fill Hunter's role if he retires. The Pistons have the cap space to sign him and they give Finley a chance to win a ring. A few other teams will be after him including the Spurs, Suns (the team who drafted him) and Heat, also the Bulls might give him the "hometown hero return" spiel. Finley is a solid defender and can still drop 30 points on any given night.

That would be a great addition to the pistons team. This would make a very good team even better.

ya, if finley were to join the pistons squad the would really make them solid and they would have a better chance of beating the heat in the eastern conference finals next season.

If Finley does go to the Pistons he wont get alot of minutes. I think Arroyo proved that. Carlos is a pure scorer and never saw alot of minutes due to his lack of defense. But if they do play him, he'll be a good addition off the bench scoring. He'll fit better with the Heat.

Arroyo isn't close to the scorer and shooter Finley is. You also have to factor in that Arroyo's job is alot different. He a point guard who's job is to run the team im limited minutes and really he wasn't that great of an offensive player in the Pistons system.

Solid chance? Right now the Heat should be the ones who have a chance of beating the Pistons, not the other way around. Detroit has beaten Miami. Miami has not beaten Detroit.

    shapecity, Finley's a free agent?

I believe the Mavs are planning on waiving him. They had a story about it on hoopshype that suggested the Mavs would waive Finely.

Mavs officals say It is pretty much a done deal that Finley will be waived. Which the Mavs would end up saving around 51 million.

So what makes you think Finley will be? Arroyo showed in the Olympics how much of a threat he can be when he gets minutes. My point is Arroyo barely got minutes in the playoffs.

If he ends up on either the Heat or the Pistons, that's going to scare the rest of the league. Even the almost invincible San Antonio Spurs.

Olympics? totally different game to the NBA If you hadn't noticed. Michael Finley actually produced this year. Something Arroyo didn't and truth be told Finley can defend better than Arroyo can. Arroyo barely got minutes in the playoffs because he wasn't an offensive threat and didn't play defense. Michael Finley is always a threat when he is out on the floor.

Yeah it's hard to argue abouut Arroyo's play in Detroit so far. He's eaither making some fancy pass that ends up as a turnover or taking an ill-advised jumpshot. Sometimes I wish he can just get waived immediately.

Finley would provide us with the scoring we need. But I think he'll end up with a different team.
