<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Pistons took close looks at a number of combination guards and power forwards. They seem most interested in guard Julius Hodge, a thin 6-foot-7 slasher from North Carolina State, and C.J. Miles, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard from Dallas Skyline High School. Miles is a better shooter and has superior ball-handling skills. A better choice would be Louisville guard Francisco Garcia, a tremendous shooter. But he probably won't drop any lower than 20. "What the draft is showing is you can find get some experienced pieces out of the college ranks who have a level of maturity and are battle-tested," Pistons director of player personnel Scott Perry said. "Or you can find a young athlete with some pop outside. One of these two will present itself." Some mock drafts also say the Pistons are interested in 7-foot-3 center Martynas Andriuskevicius from Lithuania and 7-foot-1 French center Johan Petro, a defensive specialist. "There is going to be a solid player that is going to drop to us who will be able to compete for a spot in our rotation," Perry said. "We want to add depth and strengthen our bench. I feel optimistic we will be able to find a guy down in that range that will have a chance to help the team." Dumars likes athletic players but said he won't strictly seek the most athletic player at No. 26. "You always want to get more athletic, but more important than that is to get basketball players," he said. "I would not pass on a good basketball player just for someone who is more athletic. Prince is a hell of a basketball player, but there are more athletic players than Prince. But I will take Prince." </div> Source
