I don't know this for a fact, but players entering the NBA get 2 inches added to their height. I suspect the NBA does this to sell their product.
there arent many legit 7 footers in the league-6'11 without shoes which is basically 7 ft 1 with shoes-shaq was officially listed at 6-10 3/4 when he left LSU but he is always listed generously at 7'1 even 7'2-if you have ever seen shaq next to kareem, kareem always has him by a couple of inches-also depending on each teams measurements-some players heights fluctuate-ike diogu has seem his height measured at golden state at 6'7 1/2 without shoes to 6'6 with the raptors without shoes-bugut is a legit 6'11 3/4 which is 7 ft in anyone's book
