Recommendation: The Cavs lost confidence in Jeff McInnis last season and didn't get much offense from Eric Snow either. Daniels averaged 11.2 points and 4.1 assists per game last season while shooting 43.8 percent from the floor, 29.7 percent from behind the arc, and 81.6 percent from the line while averaging 27 minutes of court time. This could be a good match, especially if the Cavs move Jiri Welsch. </div> Source
Daniels is a solid pg that could come in. mcinnis was a dissapoint last season so this looks like a good move.
Daniels is one of the most underrated point guards in the league in my opinion. He played really well for the Sonics in the playoffs. He is also a guy who can run a efficent offense. He does not turn the ball over much which is a plus for any team. He is a great shooter from the line who will knock down clutch free throws, and most important of all he is a champion, and brings that experence to a young ball club. Jeff McInnes is a bad fit for this Cavs team right now, because he does not play defense. He is a great scorer at time who can put points up, but he never seems to come up with any type of stop when the team needs him most. He should probably be used as a trading piece this off season if the Cavs hope to improve there roster. Then with Snow they have a great defender, and vetern leader, but he is way past his prime, and can not play the way he use to play his days in his prime in Philadelphia. He would be a good mentor to a young point guard if they bring one in, and Lebron James himself. One concern I have with them trying to get Daniels is what about Redd. If they sign Daniels to a good deal which is paying him a large sum of money, and then go out and sign Redd some how. How many minutes will Daniels get in the rotation? Will they move Lebron to the SF spot? Redd at the two, and Daniels at point? That would work in terms of having all there talent on the court, but would put them at a defensive disadvantage since Lebron is not the greatest defender yet, and Redd is not to dominate on defense either.
Daniels would be one of the top point guards i want the cavs to pursue this summer. His outside shot isnt as good as I would hope for, but other than that he seems like a very good fit.
