hey! those san antonio referres were completely cheating. if everything was fair, who knows what would have happened? so sign the petition at http://www.petitiononline.com/sasdet12/petition.html we need lotsa signatures. were gonna ask david stern to review the referees calls and no calls. spread the word!
joking? You gotta be kidding me right? Detroit got so many more calls than SA. Remember when Rasheed dribbled off his foot in game 3 and it was called Detroit ball? Or when BWallace grabbed Ben's arm? Dont even start talking about the calls on the other side before you look at all the calls you got on your side.
That is hilarious. How can you say that Detroit got cheated? They got almost all of the close calls in the series. San Antonio deserved to win the championship. They were a better team.
I don't quite know what to say to this. How about learning to spell before you come around here saying that kind of stuff...
haters u pistons haters- shut up! www.petitiononline.com/sasdet12/petition.html sign pistons petition
wow this is too funny. there was no cheating and i dont noe wat ur talking about. the better team won. im not even a Spurs fan so wat r u goin to say now?
Oh comon! Refs were at the good level in last game. Duncan sufured all the series, with ignorence from refs, that Wallaces got away with a lot of fouls. I still have the episode in my head, when Rashid hit Duncans hand, and got the steal, and did not get the foul. And I am not a "piston hater"! It is like AA13 said " They (Pistons) got almost all of the close calls in the series. "
I really don't know, I'm a Pistons fan myself, in some of the games it did look a little weird. I don't think it was really fixed, expecially in Game 7. If the refs were fixed in any series it was with Miami, and we still won, so its not a big deal I guess
The Refs, leauge and David Stern have probably been on the pistons side since they won last year. There is no point to this thread. One of the Mods please close this thread.
The refs were bad both sides all through the playoffs so yes this topic is pointless but to say that the refs and David Stern have been on the Pistons side since last year is laughable. David Stern has done everything in his power to stop the Pistons from being a threat and It all started with changing the way you can defend. So please don't ever think that the league wants to help the Pistons. The league would rather help the more flashy players and high market teams than say the Pistons or the Spurs.
You can say what you want, but don't try to blame this on the refs. I watched this game at the Mall Of America, with the fro' and everything, and I was Pis.....I mean, very angry. If you want to open your eyes and see the truth, I got two words for you.......... <font size="5">LARRY BROWN</font> You look at some of the playcalling down the stretch and you tell me that the calls weren't idiotic at best. Come on', Sheed is working anyone in his vicinity, and you go away from that?!?!?! Your down by 5 points.........5 POINTS with 1:03 to go....and your best play is Chauncey catching the inbounds pass and throwing up a contested 3 pointer?!?!?!?! I, for the life of me, can't fiqure how Ginobli drove for an open lay-up, with two Piston players standing flat-footed with I believe 30 or less seconds left. The Spurs looked like crap and hungry Piston team that won last year would have spanked them down the stretch. Admit it, the team did not look like the team that felt the challenge of the "Unstoppable Lakers". There were a number of calls that could have gone either way, and some that could have gone the Spurs way correctively, that the Pistons got a break on. I don't have a problem with blaming bad officiating, but this one doesn't fit the bill. The reason that this game probably isn't still being played is because the Pistons lost their composure and let the game slip away. Alot earlier than the 1:03 mark I was speaking of. They really started going south at about the 5:00 minute mark.
is this a joke? the reffing was bad on both sides, and SA won because they are the better team. period. someone close this thread

I think that David Stern and the rest of the league was dreading this past finals. Both teams are small market, with no "super stars" to be seen amongst either team, and both being the defensive teams that they are. I also think that you're right about the defensive rules, but they weren't soley put in place for the Pistons, but the Spurs as well. I have no doubt that somehow, miraculously, the Heat will make it out of the East, just so that they get the bigger TV ratings than this year. I think David Stern will make sure that if the Heat can't be there, that some other big market team will be there before your Pistons will. Which is too bad, because I really enjoyed watching 2 amazing teams with 2 great coaches do battle for 7 games. Here's looking towards another one next year
The refs were terrible through out each round of the playoffs. Plenty of missed calls and far too, much inconsistency. Great teams play through the bad calls and losing teams reach for excuses. This was one of the best Finals in a long time, let's not taint it with "they cheated" comments.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Both teams are small market, with no "super stars" to be seen amongst either team</div>The Spurs have Tim Duncan.I dont get it.Hes not a flashy player so he isnt a superstar?Sorry if im nitpicking...
wats the point of this thread anymore. Spurs won thats it and nothin can change. i know its hard for some of you to get over it but come on, im not mention everybody just pistons fans that keep whinin. i also think i knoe why pistons lost is because they werent that hungry for it, last year they were because they never won it b4 but this year they have won it once so there wasnt much hunger anymore.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting GiantMidget:</div><div class="quote_post">The Spurs have Tim Duncan.I dont get it.Hes not a flashy player so he isnt a superstar?Sorry if im nitpicking...</div> I believe SFN means Tim although is a superstar and is the best player in the NBA to me, he isn't the kind of superstar you can market and make money out of just you as can with a Shaq, Lebron, KG, Kobe, AI, T-mac e.t.c. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">im not mention everybody just pistons fans that keep whinin. i also think i knoe why pistons lost is because they werent that hungry for it, last year they were because they never won it b4 but this year they have won it once so there wasnt much hunger anymore.</div> If they weren't hungry for It then why did they fight back from 2-0 down to level It at 2-2 and were one Horry shot away fron heading into San Antonio up 3-2. There are two reasons that factored in to the Pistons not winning. 1-Robert Horry came through in the clutch again and the Pistons didn't for some respect his outside game 2- The Spurs fought all year for homecourt advantage and in the end thats what won them this title. They took the regular season more seriously than the Pistons did. The Pistons got away with going easy through most of the year last year but couldn't do It again this year. They won the last two series without homecourt last year but couldn't quite did It twice again this year. The Spurs only lost 3 regular season games, so It was always going to be tough to win the series on the road. If the Pistons had homecourt maybe they would of pulled It off. These two teams were so close in talent, defense and coaching that It was no surprise to me that homecourt played the biggest factor in the end.
