Hoopsype Reports: http://www.hoopshype.com/rumors.htm Doesn't seem 100% trustworthy though "The Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers traded picks Tuesday. Portland traded the rights to the No. 3 pick to Utah for the rights to the No. 6 and No. 27 picks and the rights to a 2006 first-round pick that the Jazz got from the Detroit Pistons, a league source said. All trades had to be in by 2 p.m. ET. A source said the Jazz would look to draft a point guard at No. 3, deciding between Illinois junior Deron Williams and Wake Forest sophomore Chris Paul." ESPN.com "The most interesting greeting Monday came from an NBA agent who answered his phone not by saying, "Hello" or "What's new?" but with, "Are you calling about the trade with Utah?" Then he outlined a deal between the Blazers and Jazz that would send Zach Randoph and the No. 3 pick to Utah for Carlos Boozer and the No. 6 selection." Oregonian
Boozer and Randolph weren't included. There was also talk of Utah sending Giricek and Snyder for Patterson and Monya, but they weren't part of the deal, either.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Portland Trail Blazers have acquired the sixth pick overall in the 2005 NBA Draft from the Utah Jazz along with two additional first round picks in return for the third selection overall. The Trail Blazers will receive the 27th pick overall (via Dallas) in this evening?s draft along with Utah?s rights to a conditional 2006 first round pick obtained from Detroit. "Our mission was to make optimum use of the third pick overall," said Trail Blazers President Steve Patterson. "We were able to move down only three spots and gain two additional first round picks. This trade will allow us to continue doing what we started last year, stockpiling young talent. We had three first round picks last season, and have two first round selections this year and next, along with all of our second round picks. But we are not necessarily done making deals today." </div> Source
It seems it turned into a #3 for multiple picks, without the players in the deal. A note for us- With Deron Williams+Webster seeming to be the guys targeted, there is a good chance either Granger or Green slips to 9. I still like Diogu, but if Green is there-no question we take him. Granger's versatility is pretty tempting if it's a Granger/Diogu/Warrick choice
